I booked an international air ticket through Make my trip on 24th jan 2017. The payment went through but the booking failed due to an error on the airline's site. I spent about 4 hrs on the phone with customer service and the problem wasn't resolved. The amount charged was routed to my wallet an...Read more

I could not agree more with the reviews written about Jain Housing on Mouthshut. In short, THEY HAVE NO ETHICS. My in-laws booked an apartment at Jains Nakshatra in Chennai. Jain housing committed to handing over the apartment in December 2008. It has not been handed over till date. The reaso...Read more

Hi Nitesh, Your review couldn't have come at a better time. I just got back after foreclosing a personal loan I had with ICICI and the experience was, to say the least - awful. I suggest everybody on MS gets rid of any relationship they have with ICICI. I'm writing an article very soon on my exper...ience with foreclosing loans with HDFC,AMEX, ICICI and SCB on MS. I wished him luck and decided to share this with Mouthshut and hence PART II of my artcile on SBI cards was born. Moral of the story: if you're the kind who wants to pay your credit card company and also do their work...go ahead....get yourself a SBI credit Card!!!

SBI Credit Cards-PART II-the nonsense continues After talking to walls at SBI Customer Service (I really don't understand why they have this division at SBI Cards!!) I decided to do away with the card and made a 'final settlement' on 29th November 2004.I paid the full settlement amount as mention...ed in the 'settlement letter' that SBI sent to me. The check I issued has also been cleared and my account has been debited. However, the statements from SBI did not stop. After three months of receiving these stupid statements on how much I still owed SBI Credit cards I did not react to this nonsense. However, this morning I received a call from the same collections department asking when I would pay the due of Rs.121/-. That is when I lost my patience. I asked the caller to 'hang himself' and called the Manager of SBI collections Chennai Mr.Desikamani - 9840211337 and asked him why I was still getting calls after I had made the settlement. He told me that the closure will be effected only after 6 months and if anyone should call I would need to quote the number assigned to my Settlement letter.???? I then called SBI Customer Care and explained the situation to Mr.Sandeep who answered the call. He asked me to send him a copy of the settlement letter as they had no record of such a letter. I asked him why I was supposed to update their records and do their work after I had settled my dues. He told me that though they had received the payment(he was aware of the check no. and amount) they did not know for what it was given and since I was the one who claimed that the account was settled it was upto me to prove it!!!! I told him that it was not my problem and that SBI could save a little time and money if they updated their records and stopped sending me statements and calling. He said that was not possible and insisted that they would spend on statements and calls for an account that did not exist unless I proved that it actually did not exist. Read More

Hi, I enjoyed your review! Thanks for letting all of us know. However, this is the case with most companies in India. They have no clue what Customer Service means. I've had similar experiences with RPG,HDFC,Amex, CitiBank,Airtel, Maruti dealers in Chennai, GE Countrywide...it's a long list. But th...ere is no point complaining...we need to do something about it and MS is a good place to start.Read More

I'm having a similar experience with their unkept promises. Will write about it soon. One thing I found out while fighting my case is that SBI has little or nothing to do with the credit card division. It is fully outsourced and there are no SBI employees there. SBI has lent it's name to the wrong p...eople. - MaheshRead More

Thanks for your comments Pradeep. Yesterday (1st June 2004) I received a call from Ms.Kavitha from Amex offering me a personal loan. She asked me a series of questions and said she was sorry she could not process the loan. I asked her from where she got my number and why she was disturbing me. She c...ouldn't give me a straight answer. I called Amex in Chennai and they said they had nothing to do with the call and asked me complain to the police if I wanted to. They told me they were not responsible for what their agencies do. Ms.Kavitha can be reached at 044-26280952. Please get in touch with her in case any of you need a loan.Read More

Hi, You're lucky to have discovered what Dishnet really is before you started using them. Believe me! their service is best before installation! It gets worse with time.I thought things would improve with the take over by VSNL .

Hi, 'Poor customer care service. Have to wait for at least 10 min before we speak to a person' - I guess with customer care the way it is in our country you should consider yourself lucky to have spoken to somebody in 10 minutes. Thanks for warning us! - Mahesh

Hey Anup, It's good you decided not to put up with their nonsense and closed your account. This is what should be on their website 'HDFC bank is NOT committed to maintain even the lowest level of ethical standards, professional integrity(Ha! Ha!) and regulatory compliance (whats that?!)'
