First of all the design - why Kent has UV lamp in a RO system. The RO system is enough to filter all microbiological impurities. The issue is not about implementing rules, but about being polite and not trying to appear arrogant. Just have a look at this post by the moderator after he has deleted the original post. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1467738-pos t50.html See the language used, ’’Post deleted by the T...eam-BHP Support : Do NOT TROLL on this forum, something we look very seriously upon . Please do not hit the post submit button unless you have something of value to add to the thread. We advise you to visit our board rules before proceeding any further. ’’ Instead this could have been worded as, ’’Hi, thanks for posting. We moderators, however, would like some changes in your post so that it does not appear to be hurting other forum members and adds factual value to the ongoing discussion. We have also taken the liberty of deleting some part which we thought was not appropriate of being publicly posted. In the meanwhile, we invite you to visit our posting etiquette section.’’ Also it is reasonable that the forum moderators expect to know why somebody would like to paticipate in the forum. But this exercise seems to be carried on in a random whimsical fashion with rejections happening without any rhyme and reason. I wrote a perfectly reasonable piece of three sentences in my second attempt but was rejected. On my third attempt when I expressed my displeasure somewhat, I was admitted. This whole exercise seems to give off a feeling that teambhp moderators consider themselves as an exclusive society with major superiority complex. I am really afraid of posting in this unfriendly environment. Whereas Indians may not like rules, these gentlemen also portray a facet of India that we are an unfriendly, impolite culture even in the educated gentry. How many times have we seen one Indian smiling to a complete stranger and saying, ’’Hi, how do you do, how are things? .... Nice weather, enjoy your day !’’Read More

I have made a third attempt to register. Let's see. Well, can't blame them anyway - it's their baby, we aren't paying them anything - so they do as they please - people who get irritated can go to hell! Yes, one can live with that disposition when doing a service for free, but IMHO, it is not on...Read more

Back in 2003, I was trapped by these guys in one of their presentations to sign and give auto debit on a credit card. Fortunately I had read the application form fine print which said that full refund will be done if canceled within 10 days. I gave a letter to cancel the membership the very next day... and took an acknowledgment from the guy who gave presentation the last day. From then on, I just had to show them their fine print and the signed acknowledgment of cancellation letter and SMSs thrown in saying 'I am being harassed'. I got refund after one and a half month.Read More

I have closed the account. Only on account closure, I received a reply from the service head requesting me to consider this event as a ’’one off incident’’. They also did not charge me account closure charge if account is closed before six months.

This is India. Upfront payment is like throwing money in the well. Once they have received advance money for a service they will render over the next 10 to 25 years, what motivation is there to keep the service standard intact. Ideally, in India, if its not a recurring 'pay per instance' service in ...which the vendor has the risk of losing customers, one should receive the service first and then pay.Read More

The best quality of SBI is that you have a branch where you can directly meet the manager. The private banks have an endless IVRS menu (especially ICICI) and then when somebody picks up on the other end (if at all), he/she will be one hell of an idiot not knowing anything or not having any power to ...do anything. Even if the clerical level officers in branches are a pain to deal with in SBI, most managers are customer friendly (except for some who, I guess, have risen from the ranks of clerks). SBI is reasonably efficient in electronic and online money dealing. Not to mention, being a nationalized bank it does not have much incentive to fleece its customers. It gives *THE* best exchange rates for currency conversion. Moreover being government backed, its safer to park your hard earned money here than in any private bank.Read More

People think that technology can make up for the lack of cubic capacity. Technology can do so much, after that you need real muscles. Personally I feel Fiat have destroyed a beautiful car by putting in an underpowered engine. For the kind of people who are going to buy this car, mileage is of a less...er concern, otherwise they would be buying A-Star or waiting for Nano. Personally I would buy a car from this segment for the sheer pleasure of pushing the pedal and not just to shove metal and people from one place to another. Also I wouldn't mind paying more just to feel the butter smooth humming of a honda engine. Japenese petrol engines are the best in the world (and for diesel - German engines hold the sway). And honda has the best in the lot. No other petrol engine has such refinement. Add to that the legendary reliability which makes Honda cars top the charts for the least problematic cars to own. Moreover Honda cars have the best resale value and Fiat have the least in India. And then Fiat's problems with servicing and spare parts.Read More

standard chartered and HDFC will issue a 'most important terms' document if they are giving a lifetime free card. You have to fill it, sign it and get the sign of the sales agent and the name of the company he is working for and his agent number. Then take a photo copy of the document and again get ...the agent to sign the photocopy. You can keep the photocopy as proof that you were marketed a life time free card.Read More
