Grievance against Standard Chartered Bank on Loan

I am a customer of Standard Chartared. My Home loan account no is 47201576. I have been harrased by Standard Chartered in the last few weeks giving me sleepless nights & mental agony. The problem started when I had a demand note from the Builder in a few months back.


The demand note was taken by Mr Pravin (His no is 9880291228). He just kept us hanging for a month and then said that the creditors are not giving approval. In the month of June I went to the Branch office in Koramangala and met Mr Chidu ( Contact No 9845392295).


He told me that he will sort the issue. Days went by and I did not hear any thing. I kept calling Mr Chidu & Pravin. Mr Pravin picked my 100th call and told me that the issue has been sorted and I will have to give a new demand note from the builder. I gave the demand note from the builder. Here again ther was no responce and then after many calls Pravin told me that he cannot service my full amount.


At this stage I had lost all faith in Standard Chartered Bank. I went to the branch again. Mr Chidu reluctantly met me and promised me that I will get a cheque of 5 Lakh in 2 days. he said that the creditors have given a clearence. I wait for 5 days and there is no responce from Mr Chidu & Pravin. After a week when I call Mr Chidu tells me that the creditors have not passed the file and the money will not be dispersed. A week ago Mr Chidu had told me that the creditors have passed the file.


I dont know weather I have been lied to repeatedly. I go to the bank on 09-July and ask for the senior most officer. I am told that it is Mr Indraneel, but he is not avaliable. I take his contact no (9880708621). I call him on 10-Aug and tell him the whole issue and the problem that I have been facing. He told me to call him next morning and he will sort the issue. On 11-Aug I call him repetedly and he does not pick my call.


I call him from another phone and he picks the call and on identifying myself he says that he is busy and he will call me. I am still waiting for his call. I want to raise a few issues here 1) Why am I being harrased?? 2) I could understand that when the loan amount was scanctioned it was for 90% of the value, Which Pravin had managed. Now he says that we can give only 80%. I had 5 banks which were ready to give me the loan for more loan amount. It looks liks someone wanted to meet his targets and made me the scapegoat. 3) Is there no customer service in this bank??


4) Is not picking up a customer call a culture??
