Beware of taking Zest breaks membership from Club Mahindra. While there is no doubt that the quality of their holiday destinations are good, they have extremely poor customer centricity and its only a 100% money making initiative by cheating people.
Let me clarify that the quality of their resorts are really good which their marketing executives will use to start cheating you. Once you are trapped by paying them more than Rs 1 lac for 10 years, this is what will happen to you. Your holidays will not give the peace of mind to you.
Experience no. 1 - While selling their membership, they claimed lot of freebies and discounted price. Then it all started falling one by one. When asked for the same, their lame response was - "Sir! Our marketing executive that promised you all this on our behalf has been fired for making false claims, we can not give you lot of what was promised." Since you have bought their membership, you are at their mercy to decide what they have to offer.
Experience no. 2 - My brother wanted to use one holiday under my membership (as both of us stay together and we were promised at the time of selling that my brother can use it for free), they promised over phone that Rs 500/- guest charge per day will be waived off. When my brother reached the Pondicherry facility, he was forced to pay the Guest charges, at cost of his mental dissatisfaction. Again, once you have reached Pondicherry, you have no choice but to either fight and spoil your holidays or agree to whatever they force you to do.
Experience no. 3 - Book any holiday in their properties and they will offer you the lowest standard rooms (Irony is that better standard rooms are for non-members who would pay for it). And their executives do not mind in stating that since non-members pay them money they are given preference. So, you have to settle in the lowest standard rooms of their properties (let me clarify that these rooms are also good, but definitely not of the same kind that their heritage rooms are that you would wish to use being a member). Their sales pitch will have photographs of the best rooms and facilities while selling membership, but my dear - those are not for you, if you become a member. What they claim is that the Terms & conditions signed at the time of becoming a member says that you will be given lower standard rooms (what a way of cheating - show photographs of the best facilities and then write in some lengthy 10 pages document that you are not going to get those facilities even after paying Rs 1 lacs).
Experience no. 4 - You take a holiday break for 2 nights and if you are not keeping record of the season in which you have availed the nights, they will deduct 4 nights. You will have to then check your records, prove it to them and get 2 nights reversed. So, if you are not a mathematician and have good memory, please reduce your allocated 6 nights per year to 4-5 nights per year.
These are some of the experiences in one year of me becoming a member. Needless to say that they are encashing on Club Mahindra brand name but is under the hands of very poor management to take care of their customers (or so-called members, who are never treated like members).
Guys! beware of this group who will take away your hard earned money and give you tension for 10 years... They have only 5 properties which you can utilize in just 2-3 yrs and their false claims of new properties coming up in Goa, Kerala, Hyderabad etc. are all marketing gimmicks.
