6 months back, I went to their office, understood their product offering and realised that they are making a fool of the general simple public. Consider this-they say 2.5 lacs for a STUDIO-RED season and about Rs.7500 per year.Work out some maths and you will realise that a day costs nothing less than AT LEAST Rs.4000. I came out telling them its not worth it - only their Coorg, Munnar and Goa resorts are worth some salt and they show videos for these only during their presentations.


Fortnight back, one representative forced me to fill their lucky draw form. I told them I don't want it, but he said still fill for a lucky draw of 2 night stay in their resort and 2 movie vouchers. As I guessed correctly, they sure did call me in 2 days only. After so many calls from their side over 1.5days to come, I went over to their place. There I told them in advancethat though I am not interested in their product but I could spend 1 hour in their presentation for the gift and the movie vouchers. Anybody could - that was there part of the commitment - after all it was supposed to be a lucky draw without any strings of buying a membership attached.


FOllowing is what happened:


Movie vouchers for the first show of the day valid on Mon/Tue/Wed/Thurs only. SOmething "MH" was also written which I believe will be something that will disallow me from viewing a movie on Christmas or New Year Holiday(that is falling on Thursday). Best part is you can't redeem it in advance. You have to come to the theatre not earlier than 45 minutes from start of the movie and then get them redeemed for movie tickets


The Club Mahindra(CM) staff was not handing over Movie vouchers to people on their own. They gave it to me only when I asked for them


The gift voucher ofcourse had many riders inlcuding limited number of resorts to stay, 6 months validity, no validity during kids' holiday season and likes.


I called up the call centre for the booking. They said that they DO NOT KNOW THE AVAILABILITY when it comes to gift vouchers and I have to do it online only. I went online. The system forced me to choose 3 options and also I could not choose different dates for the same resort as different options. I called up again and was told that you choose any resort as a 3rd option as they confirm before finally booking it. So I chose a 3rd option that I could not have anyways taken. Guess what - they gave me that only. They sent a mail saying that this 3rd option is available and if I wish to book it. I replied over mail not to confirm it. I got an auto mail saying that they will revert in 24-maximum 48 hours. 4 days since no call/email came. I tried rebooking y'day night but it said that the holiday voucher is locked. I called up the call centre today morning.after selecting the IVR options I landed up with a guy to which I explained the whole situation for full 3 minutes and then he said I will transfer the call to reservations. At this I really got wild and told him why didn't he tell me this upfront so I could have saved this time and energy to tell and explain everything. I never bad-mouthed him as if you do so they can dosconnect the call. but this guy knew that CM customers/prospective customers are fools of the first order and they don't have balls to do anything so he just disconnected the phone. I called up again and explained the situation to another of their staff . he kept on saying that even the 3rd option was yours only so you have to take it. I kep on telling him that this 3rd option was forced to be taken by the system and I also could not take select different dates of the same resort more than once.he finally somewhat understood what I was saying. then he did what he knows to do - play the delay game and put the ball in somebody else's court who will be left to handle a dissatisfied customer. he asked me to mail and give my options on mail. which I have done. but I am sure they will(as this call centre employee did) get into this long drawn chain of mailing each other. These buggers have not even called me once though it was written that booking confirmation will be done over phone and email. the nest I will do is go their office and make a scene out of there and scare away their prospective foolish customers. They can't just get away spending away people's time and then not honoring their commitments.
