HDFC BANK VISA CREDIT CARD is one of the best Credit Cards in India. Dear Sheethal, Online sellers, including SNAPDEAL do not send certain items to locations in Kerala .There may be some reasons such as tax problems in few states. So, if you find that this particular item is not available at your pincode, you have to try some other online seller who can supply this ...item at your pincode. location. If you have a friend or relative in some other location eg, Bangalore or Chennai, you can ask them to buy this item for you from SNAPDEAL , which may be able to deliver it at other centres outside Kerala .First check the pincode number of your friends location and see whether SNAPDEAL can deliver the item there, I am sorry to comment here a bit late. This is very useful advice by a regular shopper at this site. I was not a regular buyer from INFEAM But recently when I checked the price of few books with different online sellers, I found INFIBEAM offered good discount. Much better price offer than any other book seller in India. So, I recetly o...rdered for the book - WILD LIFE OF HIMALAYAS AND THE TERAI REGION Published by Oxford and BNHS. The list price of this book is Rs 1250 and Infibeam has the best offer price at Rs 950- I was a bit scared after reading the review about Infibeam here, so took the wise decision to order the book on COD basis on 5th September. Fortunately I did not have any troubles, they shipped the book on 10th Sept from Kolkotta and it was received here in Calicut (Kerala) on 13th Sept. The book was packed well and I am satisfied. The service may not be so prompt always with this company. So new buyers can try the COD option. If they send the items, you pay on delivery. If they don't sent it you don't lose anything. Don't take chances with this company unless they prove that they have a responsible customer service system in place and customer complaints are promptly attended to and resolved. The writer of this review did a very useful thing by suggesting customers to opt for COD and not pay up in advance. Premraj,CRead More

I suggest customers share experiences like this at this site so that better consumer awareness can be created. First and second.com is no longer a desired book shop, there are better booksellers, I suggest www.Flipkart.com, who gives good service and offer better prices. Always compare the online ...price of books with different sellers before you decide to buy. You can use the following site to compare the availability and price of any book in India. Just write the Title, the site will give the selling price and stock availability with at least 6/ 8 different book sellers in India. BaalaM has done a good job of airing his experience with Yebhi . Online business is based on trust and confidence of buyers and seller.s All sellers, including YEBHiI.COM may please note that they cannot flourish unless they gain customer confidence and trust. It is the duty of the customers to writ...e about their grievances on the quality of the product as well as quality of service of sellers. The sellers can read this reviews and take corrective actions. Mouthshut.com is providing an excellent platform for that. If Yebhi.com says they accept returns within 30 days ( no questions asked) why they don't accept return consignments sent to therm through Couriers ? Is it not a breach of trust ? Normally no customer will take the trouble and pain of returning an item which is in good condition and as advertised at the site. I find that there are several reviewers who wroie about Yebhi's refusal to accept defective products. That speaks not well of an online seller. They should stick to their advertised policies and accept defective products without offering any excuses. The best policy for a seller is to strictly ensure the quality of the products shipped by them, giving no room for complaints on the quality of product or quality of service. Premraj.CRead More

Don't pay the Bill of SBI Credit Card. Let them claim the interest from Royal Sundaram . You have not authorised the Credit Card Company to give any instalment repayment of dues, then why should you pay interest. Another method of fleecing is if you have taken the Health Shield Policy as SBI Card ...holder and if you choose to pay the renewal premium next year, SBi Card will debit some extra charges ! I refused to pay such charges and Royal Sundaram ultimately refunded me the extra amount charged by SBI CARD. If you are not vigilant enough all these companies will loot you in different ways. Thanks for a very useful write up. You covered most of the points that a refrigerator buyer should know before he/she selects model . I would like to add few more useful info also. The normal life a good refrigerator is about 10/15 years. So better go for a new one , if your refrigerator shows any ...signs of trouble after 8/10 years. About warranty: All manufacturers give a comprehensive guarantee for 12 months and a Compressor Warranty for 5 to 7 years. Compressors are the life of the fridge and replacement of a defective compressor may lead to a big hole in your pocket. Always use a good Voltage Stabilizer to protect against wide fluctuations in the Ac supply. Some models, especially SAMSUNG come out with a Compressor which can handle large voltage variations, so they do not require a separate voltage stabilizer, but better check the product literature before you decide to do away with a voltage stabilizer. After Sales Service both within and beyond guarantee period is very important. Check with your friends/relatives to see which company offers good service in your area. The quality of after sales service vary from brand to brand and also from place to place. Most important, never buy refrigerator online. Go and select one from the nearest dealer. Dealers often offer good discount as there is competition in sales and you can ensure good after sales service also through the dealers contact with the service center. Never pay MRP, most brands are offered by dealers at considerably lower prices than the MRP. Check the prices with different dealers in your area. If you find the service not up to the expected level, write direct to the company pointing out the defects and not simply sit back and suffer. Aware of the rights of a consumer and air your grievances. Prem PremRead More

It is good that such experiences are shared by customers at this site. One thing we consumers should realize is that Eureka Forbes was once a reputed company which gave good service, that was years ago. Today they are a group of cheats to suck your money and not the dust. Don't believe their adverti...sements or the big talk of sales personnel, they will never be available later when you need the service. They only want to sell the product and disappear and for any after sales service you are left in the dark. Let Eureka Forbes proves that they are a dependable company which cares for the customer, until then my advice to everybody is NOT TO BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.Read More

I would like to know whether Mr.Harwinder's complaint was since rectified by Eureka Forbes. My suggestion is that you don/t stop the matter there. Unless they come forward to supply you all the items including 10 extra dust bags+ original invoice you can treat the sale as a defective product and fil...e a complaint with the Consumer Forum in your area. Demand a stiff compensation for the troubles caused to you by deficiency of service of the sales personnel of the company. These rogue companies can be handled by invoking the legal rights of consumers for quality product backed by efficient services. Besides the consumer court, you can also refer the issue to a consumer support group working in your area, so that they can take up the matter with the company's responsible officials.Read More

I suggest consumers who experience bad service from this courier company write directly to corporate institutions like Banks , Insurance Companies etc. who use the services of Professional Couriers not to send their items through them. They promise good services to these corporate clients, but never... deliver the same. Most corporates are not aware of their bad customer service, that is why they still get new contracts from some of them. Read More

Consumer – Fight for your rights

Nov 12, 2010 07:17 AM (Updated Nov 12, 2010 08:19 AM)

Well done Deepak This is really useful post. People should take up fighting for their just causes with institutions both in Private and Public Sector. Issues with the departments and wings of government including govt financed institutions, autonomous bodies etc. can be effectively dealt with by us...ing the Right to Information Act. An RTI petiton on the complaint seeking the action taken on the complaint, the person responsible to do that and other details will generally evoke a quick positive response from the concerned officials. Fixing up the responsibility is the first thing to do when we file an RTI petition. Consumer activists should now campaign vigorously for bringing the Public and Private Limited Companies also under the purview of the Right to Information Act so that they will be more responsible towards the consumers including the general public. The basic thing to remember is the individual should be aware of his right to fight for justice and fair play and there are several avenues including RTI, Consumer Court, Competition Commission etc. there to help the citizens to get justice besides the courts including the High Court and the Supreme Court of India.Read More

Youn hasroton ke daag - Fom Adlat (1958) immortal creation by Madan Mohan 5. Koi matlwale aaya mere dwaare---from Love in Tokyo (1966) in beautiful Darbari raag, 6. Tadap ye din raat ki- Fom Amrapali (1966) in Bhimpalashi raga 7. Baharon mera jeevan be sanwroo.. from Aakhri Khat (1966) that sublime sad song in Pahadi Raag, which is one of my most favourite Lata pieces.
