I was not a regular buyer from INFIBEAM. In fact, I was a bit scary of using this shopping site after reading several unfavorable reviews posted here by dissatisfied customers.
While checking for the online price of few books that I wanted to buy recently, I found Infibeam offered the best price on few books with maximum discount on face value. So I decided to purchase the title wildlife of the himalayas and the terai region, published by Oxford University Press and BSNL jointly. The list price of this books is Rs 1250. Infibeam offered it at Rs 950 with free shipping. So I decided to buy it from Infibeam. The several bad reviews posted at this site about infibeam not shipping goods in time and and not responding to complaints had made me a bit scary for making payment online with my order. So I took the wise step of ordering the book under Cash On Delivery (COD). My order was placed on 5 September, Infibeam shipped it within the agreed shipping time, on 10th Sept from Kolkotta and I received the consignment sent through Blue Dart here in Calicut on 13th September. I paid the amount to the Courier and took delivery of the consignment.
I find the book was packed excellently and it arrived in very good condition. No room for any complaint. I am satisfied with the order execution, shipping and delivery time and also the quality of the product. So I suggest for new customers to order from this site on COD basis . You pay only on delivery of items. If they don't ship the item in time, you can cancel your order without any loss.
I don't understand why lot of complaints appear at this review site about their service. May be the order execution and shipment and delivery may not be prompt when you make full payment online. At COD basis they get the money only if the customer is delivered with the goods..In the former case, they collect money in advance and take their own time to ship the goods. Anyway Infibeam can take note of the complaints aired here and streamline their services including customer service aspects.
I find, price-wise they offer best prices to customers on most items. Their services are also to be tone up a bit.
