Trashy piece of plastic

Sep 06, 2010 03:16 PM General 192 Views

I bought this recently for my bathroom and while I loved the smell, I was thoroughly disappointed with the poor way the product was designed. The first thing that the product team should have realized is that all bathrooms in India have tiles on the sidewalls--hence you need something really strong ...Read more

Unlike many others, I actually have no objection to the business concept of Bid20.com. Buy bidding credits and bid for products you want to buy. It wasn't a bad way for the company to make money. However, at some point, they decided to hand over day-to-day management of their only asset (the cus...Read more

I too own a GP Emotion Pack, but in Petrol. I was very close to buying a Swift, but decided to test drive the Punto and never looked back ever since. The car handles like a dream and you can easily do 90-degree turns at close to 100kmph (I suggest you don't though!). TATA service may differ fr...om place to place, but I have been quite pleasantly surprised by the service I have received so far (from ABS Motors, Gurgaon). I'd rate the service I received from them far above the level I received from Maruti (PASCO, Gurgaon). The Blue&Me function changes the way you interact with your car. Once you get used to it, you'll wonder how you ever got through life without it! One con I would like to add to Arun's review is the car's ground clearance. You have to be extremely careful over bumps and bad roads to avoid hitting the underbody!Read More

Appus, I agree totally with you opinion on digital cameras--I have seen equivalent models from Canon that take far better pictures. I was considering a Canon for my next camera.

Yes, it is within warranty still, so I am planning to go and show it to the customer care center shortly. Last time they repaired it they charged me for Rs. 600/- for the battery flap--so I assumed that at least this one would not give way so soon! I don't want to buy a new one so soon again, but fo...r sure the next one won't be a Sony! I will keep posting on how this progresses. Thanks!Read More

It was a gift I received back in 2006-2007; even at the time, it was not the best of cameras. The photo quality is average at best, showing Sony's clear lack of proper technology use. It appears as if Sony WANTED to build a bad quality product. But the quality flaws come to the fore only a ye...Read more

Hi Raj, I am planning to test drive the Spark myself. Is there a reason you did not like the steering wheel? Let me know so I can watch out for it.

Hey, I do agree that Cloverfield manages to distinguish itself from the run-of-the-mill Monster-Attack-in-Big-City movies. While the cast is new, I would not say the actors were disappointing. But then, I guess it could have been because it was the Blair Witch cameraworks that did a lot of covering ...up! The special effect were good and the story itself, while nothing outstanding, managed to keep me glued. Have a nice one, RavenRead More

Metaldigger, I did get the feeling that the waiters were the greedy types, but did not want to take the call since I was there only once. I can speak for the music though, not really a place I wish to spend my money! LOR and PH are a class apart from Styx.

LOL! There really is no rock scene in Delhi, which is why my comment was meant to be sarcastic. But if you compare it to better places like LOR and Purple Haze in Bangalore than to spend your time watching pirated videos at Styx! It may be fine if you are a schoolkid just getting into heavy metal,... but if things usually are the way it was when I went (unless I picked a wrong day like you said), then the kids would grow out of it pretty soon!Read More

Hi, I can identify with your Bombay experience. That's the same experience i had here in Gurgaon. Better shelf arrangements, helpful staff, and peaceful environment. Which is why I had better expectations from Bangalore, considering that the LM there is bigger and has been around longer! And... I agree with you that stores need to put in the extra effort beyond the first few motnhs to ensure that the minimum standards are maintained. As for Bangalore LM, I am not sure i would like to go there again!Read More

Sony should be good enough! Sennheiser is amazing, but expensive! My philips is good, fits very neatly into my ears. It is much cheaper at 400/-.

The service there is really poor! If you want to invest so much on a phone, it wouold be wise to ch...eck out the after sales service as well! On a side note, I used to have a motorola once and had to make frequent visits to their service center. The quality of people (and hence, the service) is equally bad there!
