While I have used Deccan only a couple of times, I have had to drop and pick up friends travelling by Deccan all the time. Every single time I have come to pick someone up at the airport, I have had to wait atleast a couple of hours for the flight to arrive. I used a Deccan flight just when it started on the eastern sector, the service wasn't all that bad. But as time passes, the company decides to probably save more money by reducing the emphasis on customer service.
And the company does that as a well-thought strategy. Their campaign says "97% on time flights".... and then, they add a footnote to the ad indicating that a flight is considered "on time" if it's 60 minutes behind schedule!! Someone should educate Captain Gopinath that the Rajdhani trains that Deccan is supposed to be an alternative to leaves exactly on time too (minus the 60 mins rider)!
I feel the business objective with which Deccan was started has completely eroded now. Even the cabin crew that was so cordial the first time I flew Deccan was no longer so the next time I used their service.
As for me, after hours of waiting at the airport, I know I am not flying Deccan anymore!
