I was a proud owner of Fiat grande Punto 1.3 Multijet (Diesel) until I started experiencing horrible service from Fiat/Tata. My car has done 29000 Kms and is almost 2 years old.


U can check my previous review when I purchased the car. I was damn happy about this beauty.. But now, I understand I made a wrong choice...


First Issue :- Issue started from 1st week of my car purchase...


Paint is chipping off in many parts of my car. It started from my Bonnet and spread to Roof top, driver door, runner, front tyre arc and Dickey. Bonnet has been re-painted thrice and other parts atleast once.


Still issue is not resolved. few weeks after re-paint, they keep coming back.  As well, I am noticing rust @ many places (mainly door edges). As well,  my car has a paint bubble on dickey.


Prerana is again ready to re-paint affected parts again under warranty!!!


Second Issue :- This is again an issue right from day 1 of my car purchase:-


Whenever I use dim-dip switch continuously on highways, entire dashboard lights, every meter (Speedometer, RPM meter, fuel meter and as well trip computer) in the console are switched off. Its very very scary on a long drive during nights. Entire car goes dark and comes back after 2-3 seconds as if I have put in the keys for the first time. Everything will be set to default (trip Computer, meters, fog lamps, head light adjustment, etc). Every time this happens, I will have to reset my trip computer to my driving conditions. Its Pain in the ass!!! I have given many visits to Prerana to get this repaired..  Atleast 4-5.. No Use...  Since prerana couldn't resolve this, I tried it with KHT motors.. NO change.. They tried 4-5 times without any success..  They asked me to escalate to Fiat as they could do nothing about it...


Since then I have been trying to Contact Fiat directly, but no one in Fiat is bothered to respond me. If I use the customtakeouter care number, they would register a complaint and forward the request again to Prerana/KHT motors who are nothing more than USELESS!!!  I spoke to Prerana manager (Channa Basappa) and requested him to share Fiat direct contact. He told me that he would fix an appointment in a week and contact me. Its been 7-8 months and haven't seen any response from him. Last week again I went to Prerana to get the numbers. This time it was a new manager (Suresh). He made me wait for a week and later given me the same customtakeouter care number from their website as if I am an un-educated fool!!!


Now, my concerns are :-


a) Bonnet has been re-painted thrice already..Still same problem!!!


b) Every few days, a new peel-off is spotted both @ new places and at the same place which has been re-painted already!!!


c) How could you get a bubble (on the Dickey) in a factory painted Car???


d) Car has rust @ many places..Spots keep increasing every time I inspect/wash the car.I seriously doubt the quality of the paint/metal used which might be the root cause for all these issues.


I seriously doubt that I have been sold an old car or a re-painted car, might be due to some issue/accident during the transit before delivery or any other problem....


Now I have requested Fiat/Prerana that my entire car should be re-painted with a different color under warranty. But, they are ready to re-paint the same parts again as if my car is their painting palette and used for painting practice in Prerana...


I am struggling from past 1 year to speak to a Fiat person directly.  No where you could find one!! and these Tata people are not ready to share the same.


I have decided to move consumer court. If any other person facing the same problem, kindly join your hands with me. We need to make Fiat understand the word "customtakeouter" and "Service". I have already spoken to an advocate and would be moving the court in a month's time.
