No doubt, it's a great book. Don't know how much of Dan Brown's theory of the Grail is true, but his writing is so clear that you just believe everything that's written... Have read Angels n Demons too, but that was kind of a letdown, compared to this. Neways, nice revu, Suresh. - Manish

Loved the movie, though the ending was too rushed, add to it the dumb climax. But still, nice movie. And yes, Kareena Kapoor should advise a 'certain director' to see Parineeta - this is how period films are made! - Manish PS: Vidya Balan rocked...!

Murli - By Jupiter! That could classify as a mini-revu itself! ;-) Agree with most of what you've said, especially the over-acting indulged in by AB n Rani. But, I guess, I would rather blame the dialogues for that. And abt Bhansali's style, yes, he does have a thing for dramatics and trying to ...make every scene look perfect. But unfortunately, his 'perfect' scenes aren't bound together by good screenplay and dialogues. Kudos to him for trying something new, but I really didn't get the emotions that he was trying to portray in the movie...it frankly just left me cold. - Manish PS: I'm pretty much sure u wanna write a revu on this one. Temme when u do so! N thanx for commenting...Read More

I agree with ur take on the movie. It really had a nice story but the screenplay was too loose, and you find you're attention wavering in places. Btw, Salman really surprised me in this one - he was actually good in the emotional parts and a little annoying in the comic scenes (usually, its the ...other way round!). Neways, its alrite for a one-time watch... Nice revu. - Manish P.S: You may want to edit ur revu...looks like the 'inverted commas' have been replaced by ?question marks? ! :-DRead More

I think Rani did a decent job and so did AB...as far as the hamming goes, I'd blame the dialogues for that. It's hard not to get carried away when everything in the movie is exaggerated, and plus you have a director who worships melodrama. Ayesha, though, rocked! And so did Shernaz Patel, who deserv...es a mention in ur revu. Agree completely when you say - '...when you watch the movie it appears like a conscious attempt to woo the oscars...the language is more of English, which has been very conveniently justified with the ambience and anglo-indian characters...' Nice revu, though a few more details would've helped. - ManishRead More

Ur revu itself is very much on target! Especially the last para - I remember that after I saw the movie, for weeks I felt myself to be quite useless, and kept thinking whether I could join the army! It's really sad that the movie flopped. Neways, nice revu! And the length is just about perfect..., though u would want to break it up into smaller paras. - Manish P.S: You may want to use bold text as another form of highlighting ur sentences.Read More

Ena - If Aadat is the song you haven't heard, then hear it today! NOW! And if u want more persuasion, it's by the same singer who sang 'Woh Lamhe' from Zeher. I thought Masti had some seriously trash songs with some equally trashy lyrics (Chain Khuli Main Khuli...for God's sakes!), but Dil De Diy...a Hai stood out. You ask me today and I'd choose Do Pal, but then my fav from VZ might change tommorrow again, you know? - Manish PS: Long time, no see. And I see u have a new pic again!Read More

I agree completely with you on the point that, we really don't feel much for Michelle even after she wins against all odds - one of the reasons why I also didn't like Black too much. But, I don't agree with some other points - the sets and background score were great alrite, but it's no use if th...ey don't fit into the movie. I think u got the basic idea rite, but missed out on a few other points you would've wanted to mention... - Manish P.S: Don't get discouraged by the brickbats (and ur gonna get alot for writing against this movie!). I've read ur other revus, and though this wasn't as good as the previous one, you can put ur point across quite well.Read More

Cool revu der! My exact views on this channel... Though I don't think DD Sports could be called a Sports channel. I'd say it's a 24/7 advertisement channel, with a few glimpses of cricket matches thrown in during breaks... - Manish P.S. What's wrong with your vocab?! Haven't u learnt nethin...g from Maninder Singh's gems, like when he said - '...the bowler has appealed to the umpire to ask him to.. umm.. ask the Third Umpire whether it was run out!' :-D Read More

One thing that really comes across whenever I see her is that she has a lot of self-respect, and she isn't willing to compromise it for any Tom, Dick or Salman. Probably, that's where her 'plastic' image comes from... On her acting, she has quite a lot to improve, though she isn't as bad as she's... made out to be at times. Neways, well-written, neat revu... - Manish P.S. Though I still believe...she does giggle a lot! ;-) And unfortunately, her real-life habit has now followed her reel-life too.. seen Shabd? Read More

Lyla - I'm happy that u enjoyed reading my revu... Raj - Abt the voice enhancement, it may be true, since his voice sounds so perfect in the song. But I guess a few Indian singers use it too nowadays, including Udit Narayan. 'Cuz if u've seen his live performances, he really doesn't sing that gre...at as he does in the album. I just luv the lyrics of Aitraaz, so that's why it edged out Bheege Hont from the list. Besides, I find fully-clad Priyanka much hotter than Ms. Big Mouth-Bigger . . . (u know what!). PS: If we really do have similar writing style, then I take it as a compliment! And besides, u seem to share a writing style similar to U-noe-who?! ;-) Hehe! Lali - Yeah, but I couldn't include those songs, since this list comprises only of last year's songs. Or maybe I've misunderstood ur comment. Neways, thanx. Aao Na is turning out to be one of my favs too... - Manish Read More
