I don't have the reason why my Previous Review on Blackwas deleted.

A cinematic experience is what ?

Well, its praises and 5 stars that I see for this movie and nothing else, but complete cinema is about impact, novelty, script, performances, direction, music and above all the soul. All this have to gel well to make the movie a complete experience or as they say a cinematic experience. I am definitely talking about Indian context of movie making and way I have seen this movie, what my inside tells me is that Black is not a complete cinematic experience infact for me its a letdown of sorts to actually make me not watch it again.

Black is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it stars Amitabh Bachchan & Rani Mukherjee in the lead roles. After 98 reviews I don't think it would be any interesting to disclose the story but to sum it up its about a Teacher and a Deaf and Blind girl and their will to overcome the challenges of life. To be very honest for me the premise is saddening, I mean it sounds great in normality to win against all odds and make a deaf and blind girl understand and stand in the world in which she is born.

There are school of thoughts which tell us how can winning against all odds excite us, but in Black the case isn't that exciting. Take for instance Lagaan, the narrative makes the viewer enjoy about the How it will be done part but in Black the narrative makes a viewer watch with a heavy heart to the ongoings on the screen, I am very sure this is also a strength of the movie but I don't see it relating to whole of the audience.

My Q's about the movie are as simple, why doesn't the viewer cherish the protagonist winning against all odds in this movie like they did in Lagaan. I mean afterall a win is a win.

Black has its beauty in Sets, Cinematography and Background Score which I feel is world class and performances are very strong from both the leads but I do feel that Amitabh Bachchan did overact in few frames.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's narrative is engaging but I said it saddens the viewer more and more as it prolongs, also at the same time, the setting of the movie makes viewer puzzled like whats the time setting they have shown in the movie and why the movie is slow.

I made a point in my deleted attempt and will do so again, I live in a small town and I really make a strong case against the lead kissing onscreen in the movie, the premise the director wanted to handle was good but it could have happened in some other way. The examination thing lacked common sense. Why was Rani not told the basics to garner passing marks in the exam rather than stressing her typing skills.

I like to see a musical film but it wasn't present here, my whole family wasn't able to grasp much of the movie due to 60% dialogues in English, Well may I ask why???? On the whole the movie has everything good but I still feel I don't think one would be eager to watch it again, as I am. Its saddening and gives no sense of wow fulfillment in the end hence I don't recommend it.
