1) Sue's film ( which they show the whole troupe watching on occassions) has not the least been shown as a single camera film. its slickly edited in sepia tones and scenes are shot simultaneously in multiple angles. I dont want to get picky ( cos that is not the core of the film), but obviously the ...film maker has given detailing a go by, because he knows that the multiplex patriots like you wuld hardly demand a better detailed cinema. 2) Yes, prancing around in village fairs ( nothing wrong in it) but thats all they do in the first half... the narrative just does not move. 3) Talking about 'Awakening' have you seen ANKUSH, the low budget B Subhash Film... of course multiplexs and the urban neo patriots like you did not exist at that time. 3) I Mltyplex i went , both screens were showing RDB. hi Honesty!! Thanks for your email to me. I agree with many of your points. You have brought forth the gaps in the film. But as i see MS as a sample.. i think most people have loved the concept . As for Concept my personal opinion is that an ANKUSH would awaken more youth than RDB can. But alas!! ...Ankush was when there were no multiplexes. Nevertheless... there are good fresh points to the film. I would have appreciated if you had dwelled some time on them too... cheers and good to see your first review getting so many responses.. i cant agree with you more... i think most people have got too carried away by the core concept ( which is good) ... otherwise on pure film making terms.. its a very mediocore stuff. You have got it bang on that is Multiplex Patriotism....

very well covered. Out of the 53 reviews till date there are just about 4-5 which have given this film less than 3 stars. Of course its our personal view. But thankfully for Rakeyesh Mehra, most people have seemed to love the film. Good for him. But i agree, the film has just too many gaps... and it...s not as if i had just too much expectation that the film did not live up. I genuinely was dissapointed by the film. If u get time, read my review too.. cheers NikhilRead More

hi gunjan, i completely agree with you. I think u covered the points which i did not in my review. But i looks like the film has been recieved very well by most people. Atleast 85% recommend it in MS itself...Rakyesh Mehra should really consider himself lucky... good review... cheers Nikhil

hi Bhavna, u've reviewed the film really well. Excellent plot, great location, genuine performances... but yes its a tad long and i agree with u completely when u say that they shouldve have touched more on the core subject ' his own inferiority complex' , which even at the end of teh film he doe...snt necessarily get over.. nor does he share with his wife. But all in all an excellent film. And full marks to ur review. cheers' nikhilRead More
