Slumdog Millionaire Movie

Jeeva, I must agree, Slumdog is little bit overrated, although good film.. Movies like Satya, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Chandani Bar, or Black Friday has better story lines and realistic treatment.. As far as Golden Globe, I am not sure what to say.. Movies like Revolutionary Road seems far better... than Slumdog... Movies like Doubt not even nominated.. Don't know what to say.. I think Slumdog is flavor of the month and will sweep all major awards.. I would rate this as 4 star or may be 8/10 points.. Its not a classic but as you said, unique film.. NikRead More

hey man.. I haven't seen the Mumbai Meri Jaan but ever since AK recommanded it, I knew it would be something special.. haven't seen Dandivali fast but will look out for it.. Currently I am watching Malgudi days on the DVD.. Apart from that, I have watched some great movies like That Obscure Obj...ect of Desire, Ballard of the Narayama. I am into foreign movies now.. If you had family with you then I am sure its different.. family ties especially you have a girl is like magnet.. ...You can’t stay away from them for long time.. everything you said about Korea would felt as home once you had a nice home, wife and kids waiting for you.. And, Have you heard Janne Tu's soundtrack.. Movie is missing female and male version of Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai song... Its an amazing song and its a big mistake by Abbas to not filiming the song.. I simply adore that song.. Great lyrics.. To bad, its not in the movie... Nik

Hi Ips, Now things getting interesting.. We both seems loved this movie but found different problems for different reasons.. I would love to discuss it more.. I haven't seen the Forget Paris so, it was a refreshing film for me.. As far as Manjiri Phandnis, I am very much impressed with her..... She sounded amazing, well in control in her emotions.. As far as the breakup, I thought it was very well done.. We man are more possessive in our stuff.. When Aditi saw Jai with Meghada, she felt akward but went on to live her life while Jai couldn't do it when he saw Adhiti with Sushank.. That's what we men are.. That's was after Sushank entered in the frames, Jai realize real love for Aditi.. As Medhna said, she knew all the time what's cooking between Jai and Meghna but she wasn't sure of Jai's love for Aditi until Sushank entered in the frames.. It was such a brilliantly done that, I have loved every single moments of those sceness.. As far as the climax, I was expecting it.. It's not the climax but its more of the whole experience made it wonderful.. We all knew they both goanna together.. The difference is how its done.. To me, it wasn't cliched and it wasn't original either.. I am neutral on it.. Apart from lead characters, I loved Naseeruddin.. The way he danced in the climax or had a grim after Jai slaps Sushant was funny.. I was rolling, laughing loud on my couch.. Anyways, I think we both loved the movie.. It was such a refreshing that both of me and my wife, remembered watching Dil Chahta Hai.. it was adult friends story.. This ...one is a teenage story.. DCH was more on friendship after college and male bonding.. This one was more of love story.. For me, only bad part was Genelia’s boy friend.. He didn’t fit in the group..
