Superb. Review on Main Meri Patni Aur Woh

Rajpal Yadav gets a role which he justifies. Off late the guy had been getting stereotyped in films which were potraying him as a buffonish character... I feared his is going the Raghuveer Yadav way.

Hats off to Chandan and the whole team to come up with such a simple story which I am sure every man goes thru either wth his girlfriend or his wife.

I dont want to go thru the whole plot again as there are others in the forum who have done it.

The crux of the film is how the negative thoughts take over a simple person like Mithilesh. In every man who gives attention to his wife mithilesh sees a potential competitor. He himself unable to believe that how he is growing to distrust his own friend and why all these thoughts are flooding his mind... he almost is kicking himself for having got married and got into all this shit. He schemes to get his wife to tie a rakhi to his friends and manages to succeed. He feels very victorious and thinks he has the core issue in control. But ALAS!! its not to be... potential competitors keep manifesting themselves in various forms.. as a milkman, riskshaw driver, colony boys, bhajiwala etc.... its almost like mithilesh is trying to keep afloat in a turbulant sea of unceasing waves.

The last straw is when he is confronted by the suave neighbour and childhood friend of Veena. His does try to conspire by trying to convince his wife to live for a few days with his mom .. ... but he is just not able to get the pre-occupation off his mind. He does silly things like following his wife... the devil in his mind takes over completely.

He inferiority complex and now pessimist mind makes him concede defeat and like a great martyr he tells his wife that she can go ahead with the smarter guy. There he gets egg on his face. Veena is hurt that he distrusted her and walks out on him.

All tales have to end positively and in this case veena is much more sensible than mithilesh and forgives him.

Everyman or woman goes thru this phase when he or she gets paranoid about their partners... and most of these cases like the one shown in the film is not about the partner but ones insecurities and lack of self-confidence...

Excellent film and plot... am happy that Bollywood is churning out such good products.
