Hi, Although, I would not necessarily agree on every movie on your list but I liked your presentation. I am also little biased because you put 'Scent of a Woman' in the list. It is my 'The' fav movie, but I would still not put it in my top 10 list. But you did, thats why the rating ;) Roshan

No life, however insignificant that it might seem to be, spent in worthy pursuit is wasted and in the Grand scheme of things, we are all making history and future at the same time through our deeds! This could essentially summarize this beautiful movie Mr. Holland's Opus. This movie has touch...Read more

Hi Juliana, What Spike means by saying that the last para is not needed is that it does not belong in the review. You are giving a review on 5 worst Hollywood actors and I think you should stick to the subject in the review. I feel the last para belongs in the comments section where you can talk ...about things which might be not directly related to the subject. Even in the wake of all the hate mails that you are receiving and however stubborn one might be, one should never lose sight over objectivity. Don't get mad, get even! Hey thats my opinion and I think I have expressed it in the right section...Hope you will take it in the right spirit. Keep writing, RoshanRead More

Hi, Atlast there is someone who has similar opinions to what I have. Especially Raja Hindustani..I mean I feel that it is the worst Aamir Khan movie that I have seen...and people go ahead and give him a Filmfare Award! Ridiculous! Pardes, I just like the last scene when everyone confronts SRK...o...therwise it is a waste of time. Agree with Premjit that HDDCS was made viewable only because of Devgan. Anjaam...I never thought it was a hit...couldn't sit through it anyway. KKHH...some moments due to Kajol...nothing great otherwise. Keep Writing. Cheers, RoshanRead More

I would like to go on tangent here. Remember one thing before commenting about any genre of movies or actors, there are worst actors or movies being made everywhere...Hollywood-Bollywood all the same. And also remember the histrionics changes from region to region also. Although Love can be universa...l, the means and ways of expressing it is different from culture to culture. If you see Tamil movies and Malayalam movies you will see that the way the actors express themselves is so different from each other (Malayalam and Tamil are two different languages of India). So partly it is do with the culture also. Also the reasons for which you go to see a movie are different from an average Indian hindi-movie-goer. You want to see real stories- real acting that you can relate to. But he lives in so much poverty that he doesn't want to see reality. For 3 hours he wants to forget all his hardships and be entertained. The fact that he is not a great looker makes him want to see pretty faces on screen atleast doing things that he cannot do in real life, however ridiculous it might appear. So remember that the perspectives are different, needs are different. So that’s why the Salmans and the Shahrukhs are still in business. But personally I agree that the extent of trash being made in Bollywood is much more than in any other industry considering the number of movies being made. Keep writing and enjoy the controversy :) RoshanRead More

Hi Juliana, I like your list. Although I might not entirely agree to the extent you have gone to do decorticate them (they actually sound like chicken after reading your review) :) Let me add my comments. Our Great Mr. SRK: He is not my personal favorite at all. Love him, Hate him, but you ...just cannot ignore him! This guy I feel though not a great actor and his range of expressions to emote though very limited is very intense on screen. I have seen very few movies of his. But he exudes confidence. He knows he is not a great looker, but his confidence makes all the difference... But I agree since his range to emote is limited, he has become very very repetitive. That can be boring...but I still feel he would not be in worst actors list...but over hyped actors...yes! Salman Khan: He thinks that his assets are his bulging muskkuls. I feel his only assets are his eyes. But it ends there. Agree with you. Bobby Deol: I wouldn't waste any words for him! Hrithik Roshan: He is a great dancer. I have not seen enough movies of his to comment on his acting. Raj Babbar: Well I agree...now that is one constipated actor. Even his voice sounds like one! :) So there these are my views about your choices. Read More

Hi Riya, These are real melodious songs that you have included in your list. Songs like 'Woh Shaam Kuch Ajeeb Thi', 'Hum Aap Ke Aankhon Mein..', 'Baahon me chale aao, ho humse sanam' and 'Tera Mera Pyaar Amar, phir kyon mujko..' are one of my all time favorites. Your song list was like a 'blast f...rom the past'. Keep writing! Cheers, RoshanRead More

Kalil: Thanks for your appreciation Shivshankar: Thanks for your comments. You are right it is a welcome break from the formula flicks. Kalyani: You are right about Kamal being able to communicate transcending the language barrier. But I still think that I would have enjoyed more if I could be...tter understand the dialogues. Thanks for your comments. Ganesh bhaiya: Thanks for your comments. You are right that Kamal has become repetitive off late and in my opinion he tends to overact...and thats why I had passed over so many of his other movies. But in this one he has toned down his act...may be the facial palsy of his character came to our rescue !!! ;) Harini: Thanks for your comments. Its sad that not many people want to see and hear good stories! Sreeshma: Thanks for your feedback. You are right about the movie being thought provoking...especially his humane relationship to the very dog which caused his accident!Read More

Hi Kalil, Very detailed review. But I would advice that you keep the review a little short or change the presentation style. I feel that when one writes too much it is difficult to keep the reader consumed to one's writing. But hey keep up the good work! Cheers, Roshan

'Possibilities of what would have been' is a fascinating and disturbing tho...ught which could make one go insane. But sometimes leaving them like that is better for us. Let me quote some excerpts from the movie which proves my point very subtly very impilicitly. ---------------------------------------------------------- FRANCESCA: You've got to know deep down that the minute we leave here. It'll all change. ROBERT: Yeah. It could get better. FRANCESCA: No matter how much distance we put between this house, and us I bring with it with me. And I'll feel it every minute we're together. And I'll blame loving you for how much it hurts. And then even these four days won't be anything more than something sordid and…a mistake. ---------------------------------------------------- But all this happens, only and only when you are unhappy inside. So my suggestion is (since you are married and you have kids also) is to work on your present relationship...may be it could have been better if both of you worked on it...even though it would be not the best that you could have had. Today is yours...Who knows about tomorrow... About the Infidelity part...I would have told it to my partner... It is one thing to fall in love and be in love with someone else forever even though you are married. But it is different when you do something about it. I think that there we are crossing the lines and breaking the trust of the other person. But that's just me...and even after saying all this...trust me I think always with my heart and not with my brains :) Keep writing Roshan Read More
