Bottom 5 for English Films!

Well, since I seem to be so popular with my choices of Worst Hindi Actors, I figured I should give my choices for 5 Worst English Actors. I wish I could choose more, but the rules say 5. Here they are. In no particular order.

Ashton Kutcher: Yes, he is very handsome, and he is popular with his MTV show Punk'd and That 70s Show. His acting ability, however, is very mediocre. He plays an immature dummy on both his shows and his films. Sadly, he is 25 and not 12, or else this would be ''cute''. Dude, Where is My Car and Just Married are just 2 examples of the fine acting credits for Mr. Kutcher. I hope that he has some real acting talent lurking around hidden somewhere. A 50 year old duffer chasing after girls and jumping couches does not usually bring in ratings or a long career.

Chevy Chase: The only film I liked him in was Caddyshack. Otherwise, I do not think he is a good actor. He thinks he is a comedian, but his jokes are not funny, and his attempts as physical comedy make me ill. He pretends to fall down, and you can tell when he is going to attempt it, because he gets this huge eyes face before his ''falls''. He is more silly than funny, and when he tries to do a dramatic scene in one of his many poorly written films, he has this sarcastic look on his face. Instead of making the viewer think he has a serious side, you are watching his facial expression of a person trying to hold back a laugh.

Leonardo DiCaprio: Yes, he is a popular actor. Popular does not mean he has a superb acting ability. First, he is over 30 and still looks 15. It is hard to take him seriously. I also think he overacts. In Titaniche seemed hyper when reciting his lines. This was BEFORE the ship hit the iceberg. It is hard for me to take him seriously professing his love to Rose when he sounds like someone who had had one too many cups of coffee. In Gangs of New York he is still reciting his lines in the same hyper way. I think an acting coach must have told him to add more intensity when he is reciting his lines, because in his earlier works I do not remember this about him.

Steven Seagal: The ponytail is cool. The black clothes are cool. The martial arts he can perform are cool. His acting ability, or lack thereof, is not cool. Steven Seagal, like a Hindi film actor in my other review, seems to use Botox on his face before his screen time. He has the same expression no matter if he is beating up some thugs, or finding out his family has just been murdered. Even in a happy scene he looks ticked off. Bad actor, but good at martial arts.

Pierce Brosnan: Ever since he began mainstream acting, I have felt he was being bred to be Sean Connery's replacement. The Irishman trying to be a Scotsman. He played a James Bond type character on Remmington Steele almost 20 years before he was given the role of James Bond. I think that poor Pierce was never given a chance to be himself. He is trapped in roles that a younger Sean Connery would be cast in. In a way it is not his fault. However, I do not feel Pierce is his own person. He is what the agents and casting director want him to be. The tall, dark, sexy, dangerous lover who makes inappropriate jokes after shooting someone. Pierce, I wish I could have known you before they tried to make you a Connery clone.

That is my list. There are so many more, but these were the ones I felt most like mentioning. Feel free to read, rate, and comment. I love you all. Even akhil23, who took my distrust list virginity. You must know I look at these Worst Actor reviews as a criticism on the acting ability. Not how popular they are. If I always did what was ''popular'' I would not have come to America to study, and I would not have married and Indian. I would have attended engineering or Law school in Russia, and married a Iranian-Muslim boy that my parents selected. I think I made the right choices. I am also a Taurus...this makes me very stubborn.
