Don't blame Metlife. Blame yourself for not understanding the product (ULIP) before buying. You would have been fleeced similarly had you gone for a ULIP from any other insurance company as well!

What do you mean by ''Insurance Certificate''? Do you mean the Insurance policy document? If yes, you must have lost it. Its the first thing that is couriered to your address once your policy is approved.

Such feedback is very precious. Its a lot to ask of people who have lost some near and dear one, to post such feedback on the net. But I congratulate you on doing this. It will help others make their decision on Metlife. I feel glad I have a Metlife policy.

I disagree with your opinion. I got my Metlife online insurance policy within 15 days of paying premium. The whole process - pay premium, submit documents to their person, do medical tests at a hospital of my choice was totally hasselfree!!

It's been almost an year now since I bought my CBZ Xtreme and I'm glad to confess that I've been very satisfied with it.  Prior to this, I rode Hero Honda Splendor.  I wanted a more powerful bike and I was not ready to go beyond the Hero Honda Stable.   So I zeroed in on CBZ Xtreme. For those...Read more

ULIPs don’t gobble up your principal! If you mathematically compare the returns from ULIPs and MFs over a period of 20 years ULIPs fare better. Read the extrapolation stats in the Money Today article on ULIPs. Agreed that in the initial years you are in the red, but once ULIPs break even you earn... bigtime. AND in ULIPs v/s MFs you’re assuming that you PUNCTUALLY invest in Mutual Funds every year. elayraja user was looking at a quick way of making money. ULIPs are not for that. ULIPs will work on a time horizon of 15-20 years. Also whatever figures elayraja has quoted are given in their terms & conditions. He did not read it and is now paying. If elayraja were to keep paying the money fo...r the entire tenure, he'll earn more than any equivalent mutual fund.. but he will not study the plan and keep misguiding other people..Read More

Thats the whole point of ULIPs Mr akt42002! Don’t misinform people mr_yogi. You’re a victim of your own ignorance. ULIPs are long term products with tenures of 15-20 or more years. If you didn’t know that you have only yourself to blame. Inspite the 70% front load charges, the long term gains from ...ULIPs beat any equivalent mutual fund over the same tenure. Also if you opt out now, not only will your lose your money but you’ll have to ensure that you will invest ever year punctually if you have to gain equivalent to the ULIP returns. And buy separate insurance too. IRDA has allowed ULIPs in the market after thorough investigation only!Read More

ULIPs are long term plans. All those whov've opted out will now have to ensure that they do their own investments regularly (without fail even for a single year) for the entire term if they want to earn as many rupees as they would have if they had continued with the ULIP.
