One more update !!. When you submit the policy for surrender before 10 years, there will be a penalty ranging from 90 % of the one year's premium if you submit after 3 years to 20 % of the premium at 9th year. This penalty also attracts the Service tax of 14.5 percent. Ultimately I got nothing after... investing Rs 80K for 3 years, waiting for another 2 years, the fund value was around 48K, and I got around 40K back in Hand. Worst of the services. Please do not go to ULIPS. Especially for Metlife products.Read More

@phamitus I have to agree with you to some extent. Most ULIPs are like this. But some ''terms and conditions'' on surrender penalty, mortgage charges and the Fund Manager charges wary to some extent. This has become an easy way for the MFs to cheat on public. They show the returns of the Mutual Fund...s and cheat on the Mortality charges, which are not explained to the buyers upfront. AStar I have tried, front leg space is good. But for the back seat passengers, the leg space suites only kids. Take a test drive, you will understand. You can also try sitting at the back seat with 3 [if possible ]. It has got good pickup, I am not sure of mileage. Thanks
