Here is a Hindi movie (after quite some time) that is designed as a regular masala entertainer, but which, in spite of some glaring flaws, manages to prevent itself from sliding into complete inanity. Yes, it does suffer somewhat from the ''where do we go after the first half'' syndr...Read more

If you are, like me, a big fan of Hong Kong action flicks, there is no way you would not have seen this one. Also, anyone who has liked Face/Off must see this movie (along with Hard Boiled) to realise where all the exquisiteness of Face/Off comes from. This is where Woo begins to perfect his uni...Read more

Why do I call this the half-review? Because I don't understand Tamil and hence can't review the lyrics, which to me are as important as the tunes themselves... Having said that, Virumandi is an album worth buying even if you don't know Tamil... the melody present throughout the album is exqui...Read more

A very well written review... I've loved Tarantino movies so far...Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs will always remain among my favourites...however, I was disappointed with Kill Bill...somehow that magical Tarantino touch just wasn't there...and like I said in my review, he could not ...integrate the idea of a spoof with the idea of a tribute... Again, in spite of my difference in opinion, a very well written review...Read More

This is my 2 cents on Aks.Not that it counts in any way.But I thought I might as well give it.So here goes. Aks is slick and stylish. There is no doubt about that.In that respect it compares well even to Hollywood movies. But thats about it.In the end,it becomes a case of too much styl...Read more

Someone ought to clean up the mess that the Barjatya-Johar-Chopra clan has created in Bollywood. K3G is just pathetic.A scriptless overly melodramatic piece of trash. Among the worst movies I have ever seen. All it gives you at the end of three and a half hours is a huge headache (in ...Read more

Kill Bill (Vol. 1, thanks to Miramax) is a disappointment, which is not to say that it is not enjoyable. It is just that being Tarantino's first film in 6 years, it does not quite live up to the expectations (mine, atleast) set by Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and the time gap (in that ...Read more
