Coming back to the film, I wouldnt say that 'Shankar’s route
is sort of inevitable....' . A good director is NOT scared
of the public. 'Thiruda Thiruda' , which is an out and out
fun film was a huge failure. But that didnt prevent
ManiRathnam from making 'Kannath...il Muthamittal' or even
'Yuva' . How long can a director play it safe? The public
is more intelligent than we think they are . They are bound
to reject Shankars next film if it is going to talk about
the same issues ! As I had stressed earlier, there is absolutely
NO originality in this film. Take any random scene and I can
associate a scene from one of his previous movies. He could
have given the task of directing this film to any one of his
assistant directors..It wouldnt have made any difference.
It is an enjoyable film..but it is not a delight for a film critic
as I dont see any issue which had not been discussed in his
previous films!!!

Regarding the film 'Boys', many critics have
blasted it.. I would like to remind you of the AV (Ananda
Vikatan ) review on 'Boys' . Just one word ..'Chee'
Shankar mentioned this in an interview later with
the same magazine ..
Yes..Boys had some debatable scenes . Whether
...
we like it or not is a different issue. But in the minds
of the public, it is being viewed as a disaster. It did
run well in Telugu. But, there were some issues regarding
censorship .Read More

I liked the movie for its presentation. But as u had mentioned in the review, there are lots of similar situations. It is NOT original at all.. It might be because he wanted to play safe after 'Boys' which turned out to be a disaster... He has shown that he is an expert in making commercial masala m...ovies.. But can he make a good movie with a novel approach ,like, say Manirathnam? dont know..!Read More

' The BIG Q: Can’t we all be complete by ourselves? '
This question i suppose has no answer..Life teaches us
that we are already 'complete' ..If we assume that we
are incomplete and we need somebody to 'complete',then
only God can save us!
Awesome review btw!!!

The movie was good, no doubt... It had some really
good messages..But then, there were too many issues
that he tried to cover in this movie.. Any movie is
just 2-3 hours long.. It is very difficult to bring
to attention ALL the issues in a very short period of
time. He could have given importa...nce to 2-3 issues:
say, education, water problem...
Guys like Mohan Bhargav no doubt can bring a big
change to our country.. To be frank, I think there are
many people like him even TODAY.. But why is India lacking
in lots of areas STILL? ? ?
Quoting Tyler Durden here ...'We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact.'Read More

Dogville is an experimental film which could have been a masterpiece, if it had been handled properly. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a three hour exercise in patience.
Grace (Nicole Kidman) is a fugitive who stumbles into Dogville. The ''good, honest folks'' of Dogville agree to hide her ...Read more

Great review on ARR's top 10 ...
Thot you missed to mention ennavale and uyirum neeye ..
'the lyrics by Vairamuthu is weird..that’s because I can’t understand the lyrics at all...:('
weird..yes... and so typical of vairamuthu... he sometimes goes overboard to explai...n
his view point... like ' logam dvaitam kathal advaitham ' ..etc..

You have given 5 stars for this movie..
I agree that it was a clean entertainer but I dont think that it had a very good screenplay.
To start with,it was contrived. The director must have had the last scene in his mind and
would have worked backwards for sure.
The songs were continuity break...ers and distractions...And do u really think Prasanna did
a good job? His expressions suggested that he is totally uninterested in the proceedings..Even
though it had an interesting plot, I feel the whole film falls flat..But then why is this film a hit? Probably
because this is a better movie compared to the other 'bad' tamil movies(AE ,Gilli excluded) released this year...
This is just my opinion...

'Latest:-checkout:-http://www.bollywoodmantra.com/website/article592.html'
Expected this to be a music review..and was surprised to see that it talked about astrological predictions...
'As SRK said ’’Swades will do only an average business’’,he is right'
Read ...the article twice ,man!!! It is a prediction on SRK..it was not what SRK said!!
Frankly speaking, I dont know what your point is. First of all, you say that the music sucks...That is entirely your point of view and is not at ALL supported in this review .....
'Afterall what is great music?-Its a music that cathches your mood/attention instantly.'
Not necessarily..It is just your opinion and this differs from individual to individual..
Any music for that matter should be reviewed after listening to it a couple of times....It is crystal clear from your review that you have not listened to it even twice or thrice...
Second, your review was very general and talked very less about the album as such.. Comments like 'Listen to that song from Laloo yadav..' does not drive home the points you want to say...I feel you are just trying to divert the attention of the readers...

'trying to walk a fine line between
creating a spoof and a stylish action flick '
This movie was meant to be a tribute to kungfu flicks(vol 1) and westerns(vol 2) ...
The style obviously is his(tarantino) ..so sometimes,it might seem to be a spoof ...I think if we are used to his style of fi...lm making ,then we can appreciate it better..any ways, great review..also do read my review on the same movie when u find time
