This is a problem we all face with services in India. Pathetic would not begin to describe it. No matter how modern or advanced our business systems get, the people behind the machines - and their mindsets - are the same old. Make a few paise now....and to heck with the future.

I found your review reasonably well detailed, but I found your spelling absolutely fascinating!

It would be great if you could give us that doctors name. I have personally had a very good experience in St.Johns, so am really surprised at what you had to go through. Please give the name of the doctor, it will be a big help to the rest of us who go to this hospital... Thanks, Ranjit.

A fellow-Safari freak....nice review! Wish those moaners out there would learn to accurately rate a car.

I empathise with your feelings here, but: Did you make full payment before delivery? I f so, you had relinquished all control on the deal. Did you check with the sales person regarding your options upon dissatisfaction upon delivery? If you had, I am sure you would have been informed about... your right of rejecting the delivery...which you should have done in any case. When we bought an LG fridge (after MUCH comparison-shopping and probing questions) we were also contacted by the service personnel and asked whether we wanted a demo of our fridge....after maybe 3 days of having used it. Though a fridge is a fridge (even with the snazzy ice maker) and does not need much technical expertise to plug in and switch on, I had said ’’Yes’’ for the demo....the guy never showed up. I did not really need his demo, but it did tell a small story of the company’s commitment to after sales service....we hope we never have a problem with the fridge and find out more about their technical service!!Read More

Thanks for that first-hand experience. This outfit has always struck me as 'fake' what with all their seemingly tall promises, not to mention that joker with his 'thumbs-up' in every ad....talk about self-promotion!

I have had long years of frustration when it comes to using keyboards.  I normally sit at my comp for hours on end and use it for extensive typing.  I have for long suffered from what is now known as Repetitive Stress Injury  (and even carpal tunnel syndrome).     After reading an ad for this er...Read more

Thanks for letting us all know of your nightmarish experience with Kaya. It's true that they have big advertising budgets...but people like us here have mouthshut...the great equalizer. Danger in disguise

Oct 21, 2009 08:48 PM (Updated Oct 21, 2009 08:50 PM)

Interesting angle, bozee... ...but a little misdirected, methinks. This pill does not encourage unprotected sex with an HIV positive (or any other STD positive) partner. In fact, it does not make any moral judgements nor does it encourage living an amoral life of sexual excess. It only provides a so...lution we have never had at hand before...a solution which can make all the difference in a woman’s life! Just think about that... If we have not been educated by the crores of rupees spent on ads telling us about the dangers of unprotected sex, we are not going to learn, no matter what...and the thrust of these ads is not to avoid pregnancy, but disease. Whether this pill will be misused by becoming a quick and easy alternative for the lazy and couldn’t-care-less? Undoubtedly! But that is not grounds for those in need to be forced to forfeit the advantages this medication offers....let us not be too judgemental, and let us not shout out for a ’’BAN’’ on any and everything that upsets our sensibilities. BTW...great car you got there! Cheers, Ranjit.Read More

Thanks for the 'preview'...we are all hoping your friend gets his car quick so we can hear more from you about it. Thanks also to Krishnan for this eye-opener on dealer invoices...must keep it in mind for the next time! BUT, I have to disagree with you regarding your comment about the extended wa...rranty ('please do not opt for extended warranty, the dealers never honour warranty programmes'). I had got an extended warranty from Urs Car in Mysore, who sold me my Safari 4X4 Vx and have never regretted it. Maybe Urs car is an exception, but I have had consumables like shock absorbers and fan belts changed for FREE. They also came to my rescue in a forest area, over 300 kms away, reaching at 10 pm to replace a frayed belt...and NO CHARGE!!! They told me it was all covered under the warranty. Yes, life can be sweet, at times! So either you question you dealer's reluctance to stand by the warranty, or just buy a TATA!Read More

Yes, a follow up review after a few thousand k's would be much appreciated! And how about uploading a few more exterior/interior snaps? 'it would be amazing if the car could tell me 'sir you forgot to fasten your seatbelt, please use it' ' - sounds like you are falling in love with 'Rosy'!!

How many times, sir, were you either 'ROBBED, CARJACKED, GANGRAPED, MURDERED, PERHAPS EVEN EATEN' during your 2-day stay there? A very biased report, indeed - based obviously only on stories heard. I have lived several years in that beautiful country and not once been 'ROBBED, CARJACKED, GANGRAPED..., MURDERED, PERHAPS EVEN EATEN'Read More

I needed a reliable vehicle that would meet not just my daily requirements of an average city life, but would also cater to those major once-in-a-year flights of fancy I get, of long road trips - usually to destinations far and remote.
