After making my own roads now am Reclaiming my life. Yes, the punch line says it all. I have been driving the beast from 2004. It started with the roar of Safari I heard during my college days in 1998, I wanted to myself trigger the roar.

In August 2004 the screens went up and carpets were on, for a beast which was powered by a Turbo Charged Intercooled Engine to enter my stable. The beast accompanied me to all terrains may it be rocky, sandy or slushy.

My frequent research enriched me with ideas regarding the new beast from TATA’s stable, indeed the 3L DICOR. I was amazed by the upgrade Safari went through i.e. 2L TCIC to 3L DICOR. I was building means to bring a 3L DICOR to my stable, but my regular research indeed played the game and hinted me regarding the 140ps powered DICOR 2.2 V TT.

I waited with patience continuing my research to know the launch date of the mean machine. Regrettably, I was not in India during the launch. My research on DICOR 2.2 was in absolute fledge through blogs. My urge to test the machine grew and finally was accomplished when I returned to India. I test drove the Safari GX model and indeed, the drive made me realize that, the competing models will move off the way with a retiring attitude. The drive drove my pulse rate high.

My longing to cool my stable with the machine grew in a rapid pace and ended up in welcoming a DICOR 2.2 VTT EX to my stable in September 2009. DICOR 2.2 is definitely the answer to the challenging “SUV Vans”, Vans I mean, the vehicles which claim to be SUV but, are mere Vans. The 2.2 DICOR just pushes one behind when the turbo kicks in, the CRDI technology and Variable turbine plays its role with immense dedication.

The attitude thrown by DICOR 2.2 is, “Am waiting to rip the wind”, just slam the gas pedal and the machine roars to the 100 mark* with ease. Factually, our neck muscles are stressed when the turbo charger wakes up. The engine waits to experience 140 horses and when the horses are on the track, cruising is just beside you. The hassle of shifting gears recurrently on packed roads is compensated by the breathtaking torque of 320Nm.

I wanted to check the beast’s off roading capability and drove to Sakleshpur in Karanataka. I was enthralled to find the machine negotiate rough terrain with a casual attitude. The gear ratios and torque plays it all. The perfect mate between Common Rail Direct Injection, Variable Geometric Turbine, 140ps power, 320Nm torque and the chassis layout makes the Safari DICOR 2.2 VTT a perfect on* and off* road machine.

Kudos to TATA Engineers for building this amazing, awesome, incredible, implausible, sturdy, remarkable machine to satisfy Safari lovers and build a fear in its competitors.
