I quite agree with you - I was somewhat (OK, very) disgusted when the team was awarded $ 2.5 million for winning the CB series - let's rephrase that - they were awarded that almost unethical amount of money for doing their job! You can't put a team on a pedestal whenever it performs and then scrou...nge it up for the waste paper bin when they don't...it's absolutely madness and does nothing to encourage consistency!Read More

Allow me to congratulate you on an extremely well written review...in fact, your review has incited me to once again log in to my Mouthshut account after maybe more than a year, just to be able to rate your review! I am glad that for one you have not re-uttered what's being spewed in the media and... have gone analysed the movie with a thoroughly critical bent of mind! Do keep writing...it'd ne a pleasure to read what you have to say!Read More

Of all the new and latest, hip and hop, talented and non-talented stars that I detest most in Bollywood - Priyanka Chopra would be crowned the queen of them all. She would be, in my opinion, crowned the Don of Disaster of the film industry, the Mistress of Misacting in Bollywood, as well as as t...Read more

I looked into the list of the best current ODI players submitted by the ICC and here's what I came up with in terms of ODI averages. Chris Gayle (38.73), Graeme Smith (38.88), Kumar Sangakarra (34.59), Inzamam-ul-Haq (40.22), Andrew Symonds (37.26) and our very own Rahul Dravid (40.19). If, Dr. Shaf...ique, you're implying that I don't understand 'cricket',then perhaps this statistics don't lie? Ganguly's average of 40 something in ODIs is not substandard, indeed ranking as one of the best. Why, given his current form in the test series (like I mentioned, he stood his ground when others didn't stay long enough at the crease to notice the scenery), why he should be dropped from the ODI selections?Read More

In the light of new events, it is easy to criticise Saurav Ganguly, alias Dada, for his poor performances. His rift with Greg Chappell brought to the limelight a glaring disagreement between captain and coach, and ever since, he’s not been able to consistently keep his spot in the Indian t...Read more

one point i can make is perhaps that the 70s audience couldn't appreciate the magnitude or the serious tale that the movie had to tell...it was perhaps a bit to controversial for people to digest... one movie that i would like to point out is paheli, where everybody, rather than trying to understan...d the movie, questions the existence of ghosts...not really a very enlightened approach... excellent review, though...keep it up...Read More
