While Kites has lot of positives, there are also some downsides. They are as follows, a. The scene where they meet again in her room after the nightlong ride and dance is so very reminiscent of the scene in ’’Life in a Metro’’ where Shiney and Shilpa meet up in his room and get intimate. Even... the room looks similar! b. The screenplay in the second half takes lot of liberties and becomes little implausible after a point, although there is lot of attention to detail. Its fine to imagine Barbara’s boyfriend chasing her down from LA, but the second shootout between cops and bandits, as well as the final shootout in Mexico are frankly, unbelievable and very conveniently placed in the screenplay. c. The last few moments of the film after he falls into the sea could’ve been executed better. The whole theatre erupted in laughter at that moment, and I could sense something was not right in the way it was shown d. Kangana suddenly emerging towards the end and shooting Hrithik was a fault in the writingRead More

I know I am going against the nearly unanimous public and critic opinion, when I say that Kites is a good film. Well, thats primarily because it actually is a very well made film which hasn't got the respect and accolades it actually deserved! Let me explain why. Media is a powerful tool, whi...Read more

Ram Gopal Varma was without doubt, one of the best directors in Bollywood till he created the atrociously bad RGV ki Aag, and then delivered one flop after another. But as they say in cricket, form is temporary, but class is permanant. Rangeela, Satya, Company, Sarkar and Nishabd, which accordin...Read more

Paa is like old wine in a new bottle. The story reminds you of classics like "Masoom", "Kaash" and "Anjali" and the more recent average-fare "Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai". But hey, who's worried about the story nowadays? For the viewer, its boiling down to whether you get your money's worth or not...Read more

09/09/09 is sometime in the future!! R u talkin abt future experience in the present?! During my first trip to Mahabaleshwar some 10 years ago we stayed at Valley View and the view was really amazing. When I visited Mahabaleshwar again this year, in January, I stayed at Hotel Saket Plaza since ...Valley View was too expensive (10000 for 2 nights!) Saket Plaza is rated #1 in TripAdvisor. Tripadvisor is THE website to visit if you want to know which is the best hotel in any city/tourist destination anywhere in the world. SriniRead More

I completely agree with you. We had been there in Jan 2009 and were astonished to see the range of services and facilities offered. Its brand new, with amazing facilities, superb food, and great range of activities to enjoy. Only issue - the view isn't good from all the rooms, and the parking space ...is really limited.Read More

Hi!! I was supposed to stay at this same hotel but last minute changes caused me to drop Thekkady from the itinerary and instead goto Backwaters, to get a good mix of hills and water. Hence I missed it. Next time around however, I will definitely goto Thekkady and stay at CC, thanks to your rev...iew!! I agree that this is probably the best resort in Thekkady. Even the most visited travel related website www.tripadvisor.com ranks it as No.1 or No.2 Keep writing! SriniRead More

Hi, Good review, but few points that I want to clear, 1. There is a way to increase your good cholestrol (HDL). Its thru' consumption of Omega 3 fatty acids. Buy OLEVON tablets and have one per day to increase HDL levels. 2. Only walking may not be enough. If you can, you should do weigh...t lifting because the process of calorie burning is sustained thru the day and night, while walking helps burn calories only during when you're walking. Cheers to Good Health! SrinivasanRead More

Hi Fenil, Gud review but I am really unsure how many share the same view as urs! I went for JTYJN yesterday at a multiplex and happened to roam around since there was time. Stepped into the projection room of Love Story 2050 and saw that it was playing to an absolutely empty theatre. In short, th...e film's a dud and the weekend collections will show. Keep writing! The common thread I observed in ur review as well as other reviews it that the film is slow paced and may grate on the nerves, especially if you don't understand the language. Urdu is not easy to understand.... Very well written simple straightforward review. Srini
