Bhoomi Hills Developers, who have undertaken a construction project in Kandivali(E) have fallen short of their'good' reputation.  Some relatives of ours(thinking that they were with reliable builders)
booked a flat in their "Bhoomi Valley" project (Kandivali-E) and were promised possession by March 2007. Leave alone the fact, that possession has already been delayed by one year, the Bhoomi people are now arbitarily making changes, in the apartment designs and project layout.(without consulting or informing the very people who have purchased flats there)
Why do such unethical things happen even today in Mumbai, which is aspiring to become another Shanghai. How are such things allowed to happen?
It is said that when any developer applies to the Building Proposals Dept(BMC)  for permission to construct, he is required to obtain numerous clearances (over 70!) and fulfill many conditions. Are the hapless buyers of these flats, expected to believe, that the sanctioning authority had no idea that the proposed construction was near forest land?
How do government officials raise objection AFTER the local authority has already sanctioned the project? And if there was a problem with the forest matter - why was this project sanctioned by BMC in the first place? When any large-scale construction is undertaken, how are prospective buyers expected to know, that it might not have the sanction of all necessary authorities?
Now that the "forest matter " has been solved, it has given Bhoomi Developers an excuse to play havoc with people's lives.
Many unfortunate people who have booked flats in this project, are now forced to live in exorbitantly-high rent flats, while they wait to get possession. People have taken housing loans to buy these flats - so now along with their E.M.I' s, they have to bear the additional burden of the rent. For the Bhoomi people - it is a win-win situation anyway you look at it. They are taking their own sweet time to complete the delayed project, citing govt./BMC objection. The later they sell their subsequently-built flats, the more money they make(rising prices)
*What gives our government / BMC officials and developers / builders,  the right to play with people's hard-earned money - their life savings?
*Why are Developers /Builders not forced to honour their commitments and to follow a time-bound schedule?
*Why is there, an unholy nexus between builders and officials of the B.P Dept(BMC) in our country?
*Why are there no laws protecting the common man in our country, from the flagrant injustices repeatedly heaped upon them?
When a builder defaults on giving possession of a flat, as and when it was promised, why is he not, held punishable for grave "DEFICIENCY OF SERVICE" ?
Despite the bad record of most of our builders(they never complete a project in time) why have laws never been framed, to punish such builders?
Why do the laws of our land,  only protect the more powerful ?(those who do not need protection at all)
*Why are builders/developers never forced to pay the rents of those people, whom they have deprived of a home in time, and who are now steeped in further debt ?
The bureaucrats who had the construction work suspended, are equally responsible for not doing their work properly in the first place. They are comfortable in their cushy govt jobs(with their fat pay-packets coming out of the public's money) - they change/amend existing laws for their own vested interests and to suit their political masters.
WHO AMONG ALL THESE PERPETRATORS, EVEN GIVES A DAMN THAT HUNDREDS OF MIDDLE-CLASS PEOPLE, WHO HAVE BOOKED HOMES IN SUCH PROJECTS, ARE FIGHTING THE BATTLE OF THEIR LIVES, TO STAY AFLOAT IN THE SEA OF FINANCIAL DEBT?
WHY DOES THE COMMON MAN IN INDIA,  ALWAYS HAVE TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF POLITICAL AND BUREAUCRATIC APATHY?             WHY??
