There are more malls in Blore now! But of course, the roads have worsened ..anyway thats a different story altogether..Havent yet been to Abhirami mall, but would like to visit it the next time Im in Chennai..The snow thing and car lift sounds interesting..

..and a very funny review..but just one offbeat comment.. can you please use less Hindi words ..of course punch lines (in this case ad captions) can be as is, but when you are describing something its better to do it completely in English..though many people understand Hindi not many are too comfo...rtable reading it on an English website. -ARead More

Nice revu there Jaya. Regarding the calcium in the diet, I guess you are wrongly grouping it with fatty foods which are to be consumed less. This is not true! Women especially at their menopause time should consume more calcium because their bones tend to become weak and there's danger of osteo-arth...ritis and stuff. Probably an extra glass of milk should do the trick..Read More

But this was for checking my balance on R-World in reliance mobile and not phone banking. Nice review..could have elaborated on the CFLs as they seem to be the in-thing now..in fact in Bangalore, BESCOM is encouraging people to switch to CFLs and was providing it at discounted rates. Washing machines can consume a lot of power too, especially if you have those sleek fully-automatic ones ...that dry your clothes completely..Read More

This is exactly what I think about NDTV! I would give it a 3 star rating too..I would also like to mention a word or two about it.. Mr. Amitabh Revi whom I have seen in the breakfast news reads like a corpse! Quite unbearable, esp. since its first thing in the morning.. Though CNBC is more matur...e, their Indian reporters Senthil and many others make horrible reading mistakes which our NDTV guys don't make. Thats some saving grace.. Regarding the sing-song accent well, it has become a standard in most Indian news channels and I guess we have to live with it :( Final word: NDTV revels more on sensationalism than just news. Inpite of all the shortcomings I too still watch it because there doesn't seem to be a better Indian news channel in English!Read More

Hi Mrs. Medha, Nice review..Covers most of the aspects of the book. I've read the first half of the book and was very much inspired by it too. I think it has a lot of relevance to real life and is not mere pulp. In fact it is the best non-fiction book that I've come across. I loved the concept of '...rat race' - the most common mistake that all of us do. He cleared my illusion of what is an asset and what is not. He also brings to light an important fact..that the rich actually spend and then pay taxes while the 'poor' pay taxes and then spend..very true..sadly Im in the rat race too and woud love to get out of it someday! BTW I wouldn't agree with the cons - the author doesn't urge everyone to become employers but he tells us the benefits of being one.
