'How ironic was that?' - Isn't it pretty ironic that we want to kill off the hopeful being within ourselves, prepare ourselves for the worst rather than the best - and all this in the name of 'being happy'? I guess all of us should at some point of time leave our daily cynical being in the close...t and enjoy such meaningless, untrue, lighthearted movies. Tell you what, it does what we go to movies for - entertain. Why are people crazy enough to want to see in the movie hall the same dismal, sad, too-real life that they're themselves trying to escape every moment? I did enjoy B&P too, although just like you I was apprehensive about it before. I think that makes up the verdict pretty much. Would love to hear your opinion about this, though. C'ya - MeRead More

Thanx for commenting. The review is not my autobiography, well... not completely, you see? You'll find the explanation for that if you look at the last part of my profile page (just the part in bolds) My youth was (is?) pretty black, though from a different angle, but I don't really want it t...o pick up or change in any way. I sometimes hope I was someone else (Multiple Personality Disorder, you see?), but as long as I'm me, this is the way I'm best. - MeRead More

Huff... huff... Was I late? Had been really busy these days, wondering how you guessed it right! I read this one only as pastime since am yet to have a proper boss, but it was cute... especially the puppy in the basket part... I guess the same theory works for teachers. I'd try it on my princ...ie ;-P - MeRead More

Funnily I haven't seen the original (a rare feat for an Indian, na?) and I'm gonna see the coloured version soon... so I needed to know the story and how the original actually feels. The feeling was given out fine in your review but the story... well... C'ya - Me

I missed the promos of this movie but somehow the gossip all around sounded like some 8th wonder of the world is bursting into scene... so it's NOT worth cutting exams for, huh? (Agle kuch din exam hi exam, no innocent 'class' to cut) Btw, I feel the same about M-e-A but that's why I'm gonna see ...it. Colour stuff converted to B/W loses their charm, logically should be vice versa but I've never seen an example before. Wish me luck ;-) C'ya - Me PS: Where were u all these dez?Read More

Another vampire movie? *rubbing my hands...* Such a deliciously tempting review by Tennyson? *licking my lips now...* I'm just gonna run to get it NOW! .... ... Btw, tell me where you got this one from! The 'Horror' section of our CD library doesn't have it (I know that section like the bac...k of my hand!) So where....? - MeRead More

The review was very well-expressed and I admire your style of writing but I couldn't agree with your view. Eleven Minutes was the first work of Coelho I read and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I think the fact that this is a book revolving around sex while he never wrote sex before only proves his v...ersatility in choosing topics, doesn't it? As about the reality of a well-read, philosophical prostitute - that isn't really THAT unbelievable (though in Indian conditions - yes). You could try reading this blog called 'Diary of London Call Girl' (which is a real web journal) at this URL : http://belledejour-uk.blogspot.com, if you don't believe me. It's so well-written that it's soon gonna be published as a book (or it might already have been, I'm not sure). I bet you'd be amazed how a girl can write so beautifully after coming home from doing all that. And as you know, no one edits blogs, so... Hoping to hear your opinion on this. C'ya - MeRead More

Lyla : Thanks for reminding it wasn't 20... I forgot that. Thanks for commenting too. Nandu-ji : Fairies for normal people don't die, or probably they didn't even notice when they existed, so don't care when they die. I do! Oh well that's a long philosophical explanation again... wait for my M2M... on that. Your comment made my day too :-) Paromita-di : Nice to see you back again! That's how cool it is! Jayashri : Rest.In.Peace already? Why, why, why? Who'd then raise hell at this place and disturb everybody's sleep? Except ... - MeRead More

'Guy's novels' as you called this one, always arouse a feel of nostalgia in me... I grew up with a lot of guys (and no girls) around, in the 'guy' way, lots of rock-n-roll and gizmos and dirty jeans and male-bondings (uh?)... now it's so different ... Guy things have always felt a part of golden ...childhood... wholesome memories Guess I'm gonna like this one too C'ya - MeRead More

I see the subtle hint in everybody's comment (6th sense, he he) that the review was too clumsy and gloomy-looking... if you'd have read it wholly though you'd be finding it's not... Howver can't help this one guyz, it can't be formatted in any way I can imagine. My next piece is amazingly uncluttere...d, compared to this. Congratulate me on improving, guyz! Now for individuals : Abhi : Real vampires don't really care about the opinions of their yet-not-dead human counterparts, but I'll anyway pass on the message... Paromita-di and Grunge : Don't you see I don't really wanna divulge myself to some people, as yet? ... You're not them, but well even walls (guess that'll be IE windows) have ears these dez... ;-) It's got nothing to do with playing hard-to-get, really. PS Grunge, really nice to see you again! It's funny ... I've known about backmasking for ages and even heard many of them (yeah there's one site that lets you listen to all the songs played backwards, or you can try the good old Sound Recorder in Windows). But never had I read such a well-organized review on the topic. WOW! - I'm amazed. I... was going to write one myself but now there's no need! I didn't know about Twinkle Twinkle ... I mean, how can it be, man? That rhyme's been around for ages, even before people could imagine stuff like backmasking! Btw, did anybody know Britney Spear's debut single Baby One More Time, played backwards, sounds 'Sleep with me, I'm not too young'? ;-) - MeRead More
