I guess this paints a very rosy picture of HSBC and is not reflecting the reality. My experiences have been total opposite. I believe this bank has shady policies - like delay sending the cheques for collection with the motive of making money in late fee and charges. Thanks, -Sriram

Hi, I am amazed at how many of us have had similar problems. I too was charged late fee when I had paid on time. I have seen numerous posts in the same lines and this clearly establishes HSBC's is using this as a pratice to make illicit money. I too had similar experience and couple of my colleagues had the same problem. This bank is hopeless and I am planning to write to Dept of Banking Regulation, RBI and bring the Bank's shady practices to their attention. If someone investigates how much revenue this bank is making out of these char...ges, I would bet the figures would speak for themselves and HSBC folks would not be able to justify it to the regulators. I wish RBI take note of this bank's unethical and possibly illegal practices and show them the way out of the country by cancelling their banking license. I have had a very bad experience with HSBC and I wish RBI looks into the shady policies of this bank and throw them out of the country. I also think the bank can make more money by shutting down its customer service dept. It is just waste of space Thanks, -Sriram
