I ordered an American Tourister soft luggage on COD. The item arrived as COD. We paid RS 4000/-, but after we opened, we found it to be smaller than what we had paid for. We wrote to them. They immediately sent another piece but asked us to pay Rs 4000/-again. When we spoke to them, they said...Read more

Thank You Mouthshut.com. I am sure that it was the effect of Mouthshut.com that Flipkart refunded my money. I have blacklisted Flipkart and will never buy anything from them. I have learnt the hard way that in case of electronic goods, NEVER BUY THROUGH MAIL ORDER IN INDIA. It is always better to bu...y them from a reliable dealer as he will be physically present to take care of complaint and sort it for his customers.Read More

Last 3 months I was in USA with my kins. They order from eBay.com and Amazon.com almost anything and everything, from Toasters ($40) to Tread Mill ($800) and the things get delivered without entering into any correspondence. The money is electronically transferred from customer's bank account. After... confirmation of receipt, they call their customers and ask if the product was okay and If any assistance was required. In India, I found this to be just the reverse. Here mail order companies are interested in taking your money out of your pocket and forget. If the product is bad, they will take so much of time to replace that you get discouraged to buy next time. This is one reason why, despite selling cheaper than market, the mail order companies are not able to capture the trust of Indian buyers. I have not dealt with eBay but the only mail order company that I have found reliable in India, is Amazon.com. They are fast and good at service and correspondence, which encourages me to trust them for my further requirement.Read More

Amazon.com, in my opinion is a reliable and trust-worthy mail order company. I am 70 years old and do not feel comfortable going to market to buy things except essentials that can't be home-delivered. So I get many things from Mail Order companies. I had tried almost all companies including less kno...wn 'Rediff' and would rank Amazon.com as number one mail order company. Recently, I was looking for a Cheese-Grater and found that Amazon had the largest variety, ranging from Rs 50 to 3080. The only thing that I wish they had was the size of grater. That would have given a fair idea of the item I was going to buy and the suspense of getting what you expected, would have been reduced to a great extent. Well done and keep it up Amazon.com.Read More

You seem to be either an employee of Flipkart or related to them. Flipkart guys are not true to any one but money and only money. They pass on defective products that are returned by customers in shops and ultimately you end up paying more than the market. I bought a cordless phone. After opening th...e parcel, I found that it did not have any screen to display number dialed or caller ID. The same product was available in a shop for Rs 150/- less than the price I paid. On writing they reply but that's all. Nothing after that. Ultimately you end up frustrated paying more than market. Customer protection in our country is poor and once you are in their trap, you can do very little. You suffer the loss and agony. Educated people run into their traps. Customer protection in our country is time and money consuming, so best is not to buy and boycott companies like Flipkart. They will either change or die their own death.Read More

Flipkart or any mail order service is like an airline's service. A delay once in life time is remembered but excellent service on all flights are forgotten. Similarly, when we send our hard earned money to a mail order company, we expect good product and service. In my case it was missing and for a...n individual, an amount of Rs 2399/- values more than the same amount for a multimillion Rupees company like FLIPKART. Electronic transfer should take maximum a day to get reflected in my account, but it has been over 2 days, my amount of Rs 2399/- has still not come in my HDFC Bank account despite assurance given by Flipkart.Read More

I don't know why it happened with me. It is a normal courtesy that when a customer has entrusted full trust in you, you should reciprocate the same way instead of that, Flipkart is behaving like a cheap-stake company and even after receiving the defective product they are neither replying, nor repla...cing the defective DVD player.Read More

'ONCE bitten, twice shy.' This saying proved true after I lost faith in an Indian mail order company Flipkart. A DVD player bought from them was returned to them through their own courier and now they are not replying to my request to send me a replacement, for which my Rs 2940/- are already with th...em. So far, I was agreeable to replacement of the DVD player with more expensive one but now after waiting for 4 months, I don't want to deal with Flipkart any more. Since Mail Order companies in India do not seem to have any moral ethics or business discipline, Govt. must tighten rope on these mushrooming Mail Order Companies in India. They are cheating public. As they do not disclose their physical address, it becomes difficult make a police complaint and have... Police action taken against them. In the absence of a physical address, Police too do not like to entertain complaints. Since there is no clarity so far if cheating by mail order companies comes under the preview of 'cyber-crime' or not, big companies like Flipkart, which (they have published on Wikipedia), are said to be heading by IIM graduates, is making fool of innocent Indians buyers by pushing defective and 'seconds' products. I have stopped buying by mail order. I would suggest to spend some time in a store and buy from them instead of having blind faith in a mail order co without address.Read More
