Sachein, This revu deserved the ROTD tag. Garam Masala is a Hindi remake of the mallu hit Boeing Boeing which is again a copy of the Hollywood flick by the same name. Agreed it is a laugh riot. And God knows, with all the tension and stress around we are in bad need of laughter. But the only object...ion I had to this movie was the portrayal of women as mere props. They are shown as objects to please men and that seems to be their be all and end all in this flick. It is sad that red tapism and bias is ruining Indian cinema's image abroad. Giving precedence to a film like Paheli over classics like Black is bad enough. But to actually send it as India's entry for the Oscars is ridiculous. This is the catrgory which featured gems like Mother India, Mughal e Azam... and more recently Lagaan. That was a great review on a not so great album. Agreed that Himesh is one of the few Gen Next composers who have a sense of melody but too much of a good thing is a bad thing And I believe that Himesh is overworked. Almost five albums in three months can take a toll on anybody. Himesh's tunes sound... worn out. The album seems heavily influenced by Nadeem Shravan's style of composing. Though the tunes are decent compared to the cacophonic din that is predominating the music industry nowadays, it is nowhere close to what Himesh is capable of. Great Indian Laughter Challenge

See u hav got it bang on when u say it invokes laughter at times. The phrase 'at times' is the worrying factor for th eshow organisers. Initially, it made us laugh at all times, now it has come down to 'at times' Soon it will be 'never'. Thx for the comments Smita
