Hi, I dont know about the J-series you are talking about. But I tend to agree with you somewhat. I have written the review in 2003, but bought the TV in Feb 2000 for Rs. 22000/-. Thats almost 6 years ago. And I still say that TV is incomparable in Indian market. I have a panasonic 3ccd camcorder,... and I dont see much problem with red color reproduction on the TV, though I agree its slightly cooler. However, its unfair to compare one end of the color spectrum. The Sony would then blow anything else in the blue color reproduction. The top end of the current television sets (the Rs. 17K one, not the Rs. 11K - that is for competition to the Samsung and LGs) available in the 21' Sony Wega range also is slightly inferior in quality. However, then which other TV comes close in quality to even that (Expect probably Panasonic TAU). The comparison here now comes to individual preference. Do you prefer the softness of the WEGA or the sharpness of the TAU. Do you prefer the cooler colors of the WEGA or the hotter colors of the TAU. However, I agree that the TAU has color temperature adjustment to counter this. For me it is clear, with the old WEGA, Sony is a winner. With the current WEGA, it gets much closer. Feel free to contradict. Regards, Prasad Redkar.Read More

Been there twice. Once about five years ago. Once about two years ago with a Japanese client. Food was good both times. Though costly, it is much cheaper than the Japanese fare at star-rated restaurants. As for the TV I thought it always played NHK channel for the Japanese clients. Any way, gr...eat review. Will watch out for more reviews from you. Prasad.Read More

I am happy that my review helped you in making a decision. One thing I would like you the check is how your dealer for GM is. Looking at the reviews & comments, people in Mumbai do not seem to be happy with Corsa. However, in Bangalore, people seem to be happy with Corsa. You see many of them on the... road also. Regarding the car, if you are either interested in driving or need more space in the car, Ikon 1.6 would be a better bet. Ikon 1.3 (Flair) is no-no according to me. Corsa is the best compromise on the power + milage front. It has the best luxury but not as much space as the Ikon. Adding these points just to help you make a balanced decision. - Prasad.Read More

Very nice review with an unique style. I agree with most of what you have written. Corsa is smaller than other sedans, but that turns a boon in city traffic. For my view on this car, see my review on 1.4 GSI. Once again very good review and keep them coming. - Prasad.

Your review got me down memory lanes. Even I was one of the guys who hunted down the lyrics of this song. Its a great song with great lyrics. Regarding your review, its good. Better formatting would have made it very good. Keep writing... Prasad.

I am not interested about your perceptions about the General motors as a company. I am interested to see details of the Optra as a car in your review. I am rating it NU because its a wrong review in a wrong place. - Prasad.

I hear that the initial relaxed power delivery is for the EURO III compliance. The older 1.4 GLS which was EURO II does not have this problem. - Prasad.

Hi, I agree with all your observations except one - 'Personal touch'. Review is based on conclusion drawn from observations and are based on individual interpretation. And whereever there are conclusions, there is a bias involved, however slight it may be. On the other hand observations are fac...ts and each reader can then make his own interpretations. 'I cried during the movie' does not necessarily mean that the movie was emotional. So, I would welcome 'Personal touch' in reviews. Any way, the review was very excellent as always. Keep writing many more... - Prasad.Read More

I have a 3 years old Honda Activa which was teflon coated before taking delivery. It still shines and looks like new. So, I would say, go for teflon coating (atleast the one that Honda provides) - Prasad.

Hi, Your review are like A. R. Rehman's tunes (somehow I remember you saying that you dont like him, or is that memory playing tricks with me). They take you off the main track at times (remember eh.he..he in chotti si asha) but still manage to merge back in the mainstream. One more great revi...ew from you. Had a great laugh while reading. I have a opel corsa 1.4 GSI. I have done extensive mileage tests in the recent past. I always counted the average from tank-full to next tank-full of fuel. I used to check tire-pressure every second round of fuelling. The numbers were consistently 10.5 after a air-pressure check and 9.5 in the other... cycle. So an important lesson if you want a good mileage. Always check your tire pressure as regularly as you can. - Prasad.Read More

I agree with the others. Some more information about your comparison should be given in the review. Also info about Honda's new 150 cc bike Unicorn is available from: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/808676.cms http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/817032.cms

I use the linux platform mostly and the windows sometimes. So I have been exposed to all the three browsers. And I have no doubts which is the best. Mozilla is definitely faster and more user-friendly (you dont generally link this word with linux-based software) than both Netscape and IE. Good re...view!! Keep writing. - Prasad.Read More
