Reviewed Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The - Douglas Adams

What is it that I could say that hasn't already been said about Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. For a novice like me, who must have read just about 150 books so far, this book is like a revelation of sorts. I was completely floored and in awe of the excellent writing style laced with some good...Read more

@sahil1610 The first story of the 'Div' sets the tone of the book. Ofcourse some stories do not move the plot forward but thats the point! Its a novel not a movie. All stories work cohesively to present a picture of a culture and nation.

Even though I loved'Kite Runner', I consciously delayed reading And the Mountains echoed.  Hosseini's'A thousand splendid suns' though beautiful, it drained me emotionally and  I feared the Mountain's echoed would do the same. To be honest'And the Mountains echoed', didn't make me cry but it ...Read more

Remember the days when we spent evenings with grandmom listening to her fairy tales and Mahabharata stories? The Serpent's revenge is reminiscent of those days. When you decide to rip off a successful series such as Daredevil, atleast own it up and do it in style. Kaabil is a miserable attempt by director Sanjay Gupta to salvage his and Hrithik' career. There is nothing more to the movie than the trailer suggests. I believe Vipul Shah's 2002 release ...Read more

While flying to Dubai, I decided to be a little frugal and opted for Air Arabia instead of Jet Airways. The air-fare was extremely cheap compared to the other airlines. The only hitch was Air Arabia doesn't land in Dubai, it only lands at Sharjah Airport.I was okay with it. The flight was on ...Read more

So I flew from Mumbai to Ahmadabad, with SpiceJet, few weeks ago. To begin with, it was more like traveling in a bus than by air. The flight weirdly smelled of dhokla and khakra. Even though the staff was kind I had to'call-out' to the air-hostess more than twice for just some water. Obviousl...Read more
