When you decide to rip off a successful series such as Daredevil, atleast own it up and do it in style. Kaabil is a miserable attempt by director Sanjay Gupta to salvage his and Hrithik' career.

There is nothing more to the movie than the trailer suggests. I believe Vipul Shah's 2002 release Aankhen is a much better option if you want to see how a blind man uses his disability to his advantage.

The first half is a half baked, super rushed love story about how a girl who doesn't want to marry changes her mind in less than 120 seconds and then prances around in heels, perfect makeup and cute dresses. At no point in the film will you empathize with any of the characters.

The second half, which I anticipated to be better, is about how Hrithik avenges his wife's rape. The second half had tremendous scope and it could have saved the movie itself but Sanjay Gupta disappoints you miserably! Hrithik, without much aid, quite easily and without much planning, leaving his finger prints all around the crime scene, kills not one but three people and even hurts a few innocent people in the process, waving it off as collateral damage.

Nothing, including Hrithik's charm, Rohit Roy's hamming and Ronit Roy's forced accent could save the movie. Hrithik is his usual self and in some parts you even see a glimpse of Koi Mil Gaya's Rohit. Yami Gautami was pretty average as well.

This is a very disappointing movie. If you are a Hrithik fan I suggest you watch Fiza instead and if you were expecting a thriller I will recommend Aankhen and Andha Kanoon.
