I wonder whether there might be a virus threat to our mobile phones, since these phones now have the capability of downloading java applications. I'm just thinking aloud here. regards, Karthik

Hi san2dee, Thanks for your comments. The Dew 'Frite' hit-back was a response to Sprite's spoof. Yes, it shows a total lack of creativity on both sides. Judging by the ad output in the media these days, I think the ad industry has gone to the dogs. regards, Karthik

Schumacher is the best there is today. He's also lucky that he drives the best car. All cars have standard electronic equipment, The F1 management ensures this. The difference in the cars are their engines. Ferrari seems to have the best currently. No car has an unfair advantage over the other; ever...y minute detail is checked and double checked by F1 management. Schumacher drove a Benetton to victory two years in a row; it wasn't a great car then compared to the Ferrraris and McLarens. Nobody disputes Senna's supremacy even today. All teams have played dirty tricks to win drivers' and constructors championships. These championship victories mean tons and tons of money to the drivers and constructors. To single out Schumacher is unfair. Schumacher has proven again and again that he is king. His mastery over wet surfaces, his sheer force of character, his nerves of steel, refined talent, all show his undisputed mettle at the sport. regards, KarthikRead More

This entire thing about ads, ad wars, corporate wars, brand positioning, price battles and legal shenanigans has got me thinking seriously about how the consumer fits into the scheme of things. Having seen this ad many times on the idiot box, I've come to realise that ads can be very nice and...Read more

Very well written review Prem. Satyajit Ray made a film based on this novel called 'Ghore Baire', a great work of art too. regards, Karthik

I can't claim to be a veteran Economic Times (ET) reader since its only been two years since I got into the habit of reading it every morning. AFter all, other hardline ET fans have been at it for decades. Since I've decided to tell you all about myself by reviewing things that I use daily, I've...Read more

Although I haven't seen the movie, I liked your review very much. I think we should give more credit to reviewers' objectivity than you have. I personally believe that hollywood movies give better treatment to the story, characters and the craft of filmmaking than Bollywood. Bollywood by its very... name and definition has come to be known as a clone of Hollywood. I will try to watch this movie when I can. regards, KarthikRead More

Having decided to review products that have been my constant companions, I would like to wax eloquent about my trusty Nokia 3310. Even though I am thoroughly smitten by it, I will try to be as objective as I can in this review. Features The 3310 has features that are tailor made for no-non...Read more

No offense meant, but please this review should have been about the advertisement and not about the handset. So if you liked the ad then please tell us why. There have been many instances where products have been good but their advertisements have been pathetic. So I understand your affinity for the... handset, but I think a reviewer should be objective. regards, KarthikRead More

A late night english movie in a good theater after dinner. I hadn't been this good to myself in a long time. It felt good to be going to watch an A-grade, all-star-cast Oscar material movie; especially after having watched a string of c-grade hindi movies. Anyway, I settled into the plush bal...Read more

Hi, Though your review is very nicely written, allow me to clarify a few things based on your review- 1. Opera browser, which is considered one of the most stable around the net, also has a tabbed interface. 2. You can add skins to your Internet Explorer too. Go to hotbar.com and choose fr...om hundreds of skins. 3. MyIE2 supports plug-ins because the underlying IE does. 4. IE also has a content filter. Go go to Options menu where you have a contact section in that interface. 5. Any browser that uses IE as its core automatically inherits all flaws and good features of IE. The reason MyIE2 is so small is because most of the functionality is already in IE. regards, KarthikRead More
