The best browser... Review on Maxthon

MyIE2 is a Free multi-tabbed browser based on the IE core . It can open multiple web pages within one browser window, each window is a 'tab' within one MyIE window. Since it is multi-tabbed, opening say 10 pages in MyIE2 uses far less resources than would if you opened 10 windows of IE.

Since its based in IE core, you need to already have IE5.x or above on your system. It runs on Windows(all).Also theres a version available for Mac .

MyIE2 has a very clean and customizable interface.

It supports skins, comes with 3 neat skins, more can be downloaded off their website.

It also supports Plug-ins like SaveFlash(for loading and saving flash files), LastModified (to view the last modified date for a webpage),TypeAndGo(to type a url and press Enter to go), UCmore and ViewSource(view any source instantly).More plug-ins can be downloaded.

It has support for IE plugins like google searchbar, reget bar and flashget aswell.

One of the best features of MyIE2 are the 2 POPUP blockers(Auto POPUP blocker & a POPUP blocker list filter). The Auto Popup Blocker automatically blocks any and all pop-ups. You can choose to enable or disable this. If you do not want all pop-ups to be blocked but a select few, then you can enable the pop-up list filter and add some strings, which if present in the title bar of the pop-up, it will be blocked.Wildcards are supported for the string. So if you type 'ad*' in the list, all pop-ups with words such as 'ad','adv','advertisement' etc. will be blocked.

MyIE2 also features a a Content Filter. The Content filter can be used to filter offensive pictures and/or offensive text content on a web page, if desired.

You can also set option to clear all history,addresses,cache and cookies as soon as you close the application. So you dont have to go and manually remove all that.

It has a Form Auto-Filling option, so you can save typing time.

It features Auto Scroll . With this enabled you can scroll web pages down with no mouse use.

It has a handy toolbar button to turn on/off images on a webpage. How many times have you pressed alt-tab when unsuspectingly a webpage has embarassing pictures.. well not now, just click of a button will do the trick.

Its light , a little less than 600 Kb. It uses Internet Explorer engine, some may see it as a flaw (compared to Mozilla or Opera) but I think it's a good thing since it makes myIE2 very small, and more compatible since most websites are designed for IE, and are not tested with Opera or Mozilla. So webpages load up as they were meant to be.

Also, the tabbed windows are an advantage if you are browsing in office(like I do :) ), so I dont have all the IE windows cluttering up my task-bar. Also one Alt-Tab is all I need to have my browsing off-view :).. now I like that.
