India is not fully e-commerce ready yet

It has been quite some time, the so-called reputed online stores have made their presence felt on the Internet. There are sites with bad reputation as well. But then, a time came when reputed sites also started to give jerks to buyers and unhappy customer experiences kept piling up. In a nation o...Read more

All this is happening because Flipkart, Snapdeal, Shopclues etc. are main agents bringing various sellers in different states into one online platform. They do an initial quality check, but then there's no daily quality check. You're a victim of this. Sellers do all the discrepancy and obviously the... main agent's fault this is - they should check and improve service - I agree with you.Read More

Through Quikr, deal only with persons face to face. Let buyers see & verify your products, to avoid complains later; and you also collect your money in person and not any kind of money transfer online. Avoid complications.

Sooner or later, you have to learn lessons. I am using Vodafone's predecessor's services since 1995. I learnt lessons and stopped the 'postpaid' concept only because of company's several issues. Prepaid is far better and now we have the 'MNP' tool. Prepaid is freedom.

Please learn lessons from your experiences and by reading other people's reviews. Its useless to take God's name for our own faults. We do not care to read other people's reviews before buying. Go directly to shops and buy such items. If your money is hard earned, do it please. Verify the product yo...urself and buy it across the counter. India is not e-commerce ready, accept it. Don't waste your money and make them rich. Don't let these online stores fool you.Read More

You know what, I feel these sellers got themselves quality check passed by showing genuine and good quality items, then when the time of selling came and Amazon is not keeping daily check on items, they're sending bad quality, defective items to customers. I will say it's Amazon's policy failure, ch...eating by sellers is quite natural in our country, especially in online sales.Read More

Let me start with your last issue: rains. Well, when I contacted, Tata Sky says shutdown due to rains is a normal issue and its due to the technology. Now, idle maintenance, its in our hands, they keep sending reminders through emails, SMS and on-screen alerts - if we recharge in time, this shouldn'...t be a problem. About HD channels, yes, their policy is different. Right now, to get HD version, one has to be subscribed to the SD channels + 125 monthly HD charge. FOOLISH. Why do I need to pay for SD channel when I want the HD channel? Its a waste of money. And for general charges being higher than others - you know how Ratan Tata made big assets for his company! And media keeps highlighting he's a great man etc.!Read More

Without a timely and fast "shipping", any e-commerce site's public demand cannot touch great heights. Amazon.in needs to look into this. I purchased an item on 12th. Seller takes 2 days to book the item with IndiaPost government courier. Now, in the screenshot, you can see very well, how Indi...Read more

Oh yes, its a defect in the LED panel itself. You said one year mark, means your TV must be inside warranty period! Samsung quoted Rs. 45 thousand to repair this? What the hell? Its the price of a new TV dammit! Is Samsung idiot or what?

I haven't heard of such a website, how did you even land up on such a site? I don't know scam or not, but they're registered only 2 years ago, means, they're not quite experienced in e-commerce sales. Always check website WHOIS data for new websites.

Please read the terms & conditions, these recharge websites make a trick over there and very often, such offers are 'for new customers/new registrations only' or they write like 'offer valid for once per mobile number'. Watch out for tricks. Don't get fooled.

The screenshot shows you got a 20% discount. Was an additional cashback offered on the item? Did you read terms & conditions before ordering? They often make tricks on the T&C. Be alert next time, it may happen in other stores as well.

If you paid for the product and then didn't get it at all, then please go to your nearest consumer action forum in your city and submit the complaint. You mentioned the product price is Rs. 6500, its a big amount to be ignored. So, approach through the proper channel.

We don't admit our own mistakes. We have websites like mouthshut.com but do we really check reviews before buying products? NO! We only care to write complains when we suffer. I AM NOT BLAMING YOU, because I also did the same mistake. I saw good speeds at my friend's place and decided to go for it, ...regretting it now.Read More

Always ask for a demo, and if its not available, there's reason to doubt at the first place. Seller outlets guys have their own dongles, they can easily provide demo at your place, if they say they can't, there's some facts they want to hide from you. Yes you're right, at the speeds given by MTS, n...obody will be able to consume those 40 gigabytes data at any month. It's just for 'show off'. India is reaching Mars, but sadly our internet services are at the village level. Ok, now you know how Mr. Ratan Tata has made big assets! So are the Ambanis and Birlas etc. Useless to seek government help, because corporates pay commission to people who run the government. Switch to mobile internet..., preferably Vodafone, if signal is better. And, off course go for prepaid, never postpaid. Good luck!Read More

Next time you select prepaid service, and after 6 months of usage, if you're satisfied, then only go for postpaid services. Be careful about the sellers, don't request them new items without canceling the older one; they will get commission and will give you new items and cancelation of old items is... not in their hands. Do one thing at a time. Take precautions, you'll be safe. You cannot trust the corporates anymore.Read More
