We purchased a 46 inch Samsung LED TV in April 2013 [Model # UA46ES8000RMXL]. Near about the one year mark, there started to appear thin lines towards the left side of the screen. We initially suspected it was something to do with the cable TV connection, but it turned out that it was something to do with the TV itself.
In a matter of less than a month, these lines started to multiply and today there is a 10 inch band of these lines [refer attached pictures]. We placed a complaint with the authorised service centre [CR No. TCR-2014/6486 dated 20.8.14]. We were quoted a price of Rs. 45, 000/- to get this problem rectified since the 1-yr warranty period had expired. We think spending that kind of money does not make sense and in fact, it is quite unfair.
I would request someone from Samsung to offer an alternative solution. Regards,
