First of all why did you take delivery of such vehicle? When we go buy vegetables costing 10 Rs we see if its alright why not for 10 lakhs?..

I wonder if thiss review from SRK :) anyways.. Aamir you have put in efforts in shaping up your body.. not an easy task.. for Laagan u slimmed down.. you always go an extra mile to acheive things.. i am proud of that quality in you... Now that comparing Lagaan to Gajani might not be a true compariso...n... but what I hear from friends and family abt Gajani, is that its utter waste of time... Aamir if you are reading this... pls plan your roles / subject of the movie.... you hv originality dont loose it... diggg old movie scripts that might have been scrapped years ago by some producer etc.... I am sure with ur ability you can turn things around...i am not watching Gajani until it comes on Doordarshan :)

Good Review - U stated Honda City and ended ur comments with Honda civic..hows SX4 being compared with Civic? also cars coming apart... i had a Swift Vxi petrol.. it did fall apart within 2.5 yrs time span.. it all depends on how one maintains and drives the car.. (i owned a used swift).. also now I... own a Honda City (again used) compared between Swift and Honda city (Not a apple to apple comparison) i belive Honda city used will fare better than suzuki cars... may be i might be biased.. but its my experience which is talking.. also MAS mechanics arent too familiar with new generation cars like swift or SX4... as in Jaipur I visited 2 of the showroom's own garages.. but none were able to solve the engine noise (kindaa knocking)... even after spending arnd Rs10K...Read More

comparing between Swift and Ikon - Go for Ikon new model - Petrol gives around 12-14kmpl in city and around 15-15.5 kmpl in highway .. however Diesel Ikon is a good choice. bcos it has been fitted with proven Fiesta diesel engine...
Plus the extended warranty, milage of 18+ kms per ltr of diesel et...c makes is cheap to own than Swift..
Plus Ikon is a Sedan, so boot is a plus point and both cars are peppy enuff.. Suggest you take a test drive of both the cars the same day and see which one suits you.. as per me.. i own a Honda City now.. Some day I will surely own a Ford :) good luck- HarishRead More

Good observation made.. yes Jaipur seriously lacks bakeries.. i being from blore, i am used to bakeries for quick snacks like spicy potato filled bun, veg puffs, khara bun (Spiced bun) etc etc along with hot badam milk .. yum yum.. anyways atleast bake hut is good but they dont make or serve things ...as in blore... with so many co's BPO's in the city now.. its time some iyengar eyes Jaipur as a biz destination.. anyone listening??Read More

were you able to sort out the water leak? I too facing the issue specially front passanger side the floor turns into a water pool...have to get it checked.... I thought it was rain water initially.. mechanich advised to change the rubber beading on the doors.. which is bit worn off... but why only f...ront passanger side? as the back seats too has worn partly worn out rubber beading similar to front passengar door.. pls advice on the corrective action you took.. Its been 7 months now and would like to add few lines- Till now no issues with engine sound or any of that sort. The carbon deposit of the GAS kit added to engine knocking sound when i brought the car (2nd hand).
The drive has been very good, my friend who usually drives the car with me to the off...ice always comments that the car has good pickup in 4th and 5th gear as compared to santro (Swift being 1300CC may be it will do good on these gears) however, if AC is on and the car is slow like 25-30kmph then I need to shift the gears to 3rd or 2nd to get adequate power (I am driving a 4 wheeler the first time so dont know if this is correct) I change engine oil and gear oil every 5K kms.. the rubber beading on the door is worn out, it rained heavily in Jaipur one day and the water seeped inside the car from the back door (passenger side) and I had to do all kind of tasks to get the dampness out..(The rubber beading is not available in Jaipur showrooms/ service centers yet) and it doesnt rain much in Jaipur so bit OK to wait...any idea how much it wud cost to replace the rubber beading? Also replaced thethe front brake disk pads Rs.850/- INcl labour...otherwise I like the car and it gives me 13.5 to 14.2 inside city with AC in jaipur and on highway it gives 15.4 to 16 kmpl with AC (depends on the road condition).. so thats the update from my end...Read More

Continuing the story..I got my Swift fully serviced as I didnt have ful confidence that my Swift was performing to its optimum... This time went to the Maruti Dealer's Workshop from where the car was purchased... The service technician took a test drive and advised that as the car was nearing 40K km...s.. it would need some parts to be changed as per the maintenance schedule mentioned in the owners booklet.. Air Filter, oil filter, brake pads, brake fluid, wheel alingment/balancing etc etc + he mentioned that clutch might need changing.. my heart stopped at the moment...Then i explained him the story so far.. then he mentioned it could be just adjustment then for the clutch.. but he refused to service if the GAS kit was connected as the engine tuning had to be done.. he mentioned that he will disconnect the GAS kit and i was bit hesitant and but he pursuaded that GAS kit might not be the right thing for Swift's and more over the GAS kit was not endorsed in the RC book.. so thought its better to let it go off...after the service Rs.4.45k the car was given to me and the service technician mentioned that its as good as a brand new swift as it had all the parts replaced.. I too felt that the car was doing better in terms of engine noise, idling noise (which is non existant now) pickup... I made 650kms in just 2 weeks takin my parents in and around Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Ranthambore etc.. car is giving me 15.2kms A/C on on highways and in city havent paid attention.. so can i now assume my swift is giving me the Avg milage per ltr? Also my parents who are adjusted to Santro never forgot to mention that the car is comfortable as against Santro... so all in all i am now confident with the car's performance....i zoomed at 130 /135kms per hr speeds on some streches.. i was amazed with its handling.... my parents were tensed seeing me speed as a new driver....so had to cut back to 100/110 and enjoyed the drive! to compensate my expenses i am selling off the gas kit for 6.5k!!!Read More
