nice coming back and reading stuff like this about MS...makes me wanna come back more often..

cant wait to see this movie..
Depp's just too cool! looks like the movie has more depth than the previous one.
hmm...i myself wasnt around at MS for some time..today's my first day back..been trying to read reviews of all my fav writers and seems that many of them are AWOL...glad u are back..

i been thru this..and im back in MS too..well Kinda at least.
I mean...some months before my life got so caught up, i had to give up many 'lesser priority things' including MS, sadly.
Havent been in this site for some months now..today i sneaked in after so long and get to read ur review about... getting off MS!
naah..but i dont think that would be a problem..am sure u will find time to RRC and read review...and in time also to write stuff..

I havent seen the movie, but i guess enough bits and pieces for me to know whats waiting. Might watch it probably this week.
I liked the last sentence of ur review best. True he has succeeded...and also true - to an extent. Its still early days for themes such as this in bollywood, so to be over-...critical would be unfair.

I have read eldest..but i couldnt lay my hands on Eregon, so i cant comment much on that. But judging Eldest, i think Paolini is a pretty gifted writer..though the book lagged in imagination at times..
hmmm..i think u shud pour more thoughts into ur review...just a thot.

Well written review, nik.. The movie seems dark and pragmatic..and ur review captured the spirit well.
My religions beliefs are like urs too...
I dont believe in religious men...but i have known a few in the pas who have done genuine good...
I dont see them as god men....but i certainly do ...see them as good men.

Well i wouldnt recommend banning porn sites - not because im the pervert :D, but because i strongly believe in freedom of the Internet.
And also, i believe that its more important to comprehend and resolve the problem instead of add...ing restrictions on freedom just because we are not good enough to solve the problem.
Though i believe that many people might not agree with me when i uphold a site owner's right to show anything on the internet, including porn, if it is legally valid.
The way things are going, live-styles which until now were considered strictly 'western' will soon sweep over our lands also.
The best we can do is to upbring our youngsters as well as we can - there will always come a time when they will grow beyond us - and when that time comes - we can pray that our upbringing was strong enough to give them the strength to lead a path of order in a chaotic world....

You know...usually,if i watch a movie in which i feel the team has tried decently to give the viewers their money's worth- whether the outcome is poor or not, i cant help appreciating their effort.
Taxi, i felt was a movie that was a genuine effort, though its far from being a great effort. And f...or such movies, even though i point out what i felt was amiss, i also like the effort taken.
Movies i hate are the crap kinds like Neal n Nikki - movies made with no thought or passion - just put in every kind of crap that passes through ur mind and call it a movie. Such movies i despise and treat accordingly :)

I have kinda relaxed my demands when i watch hindi movies...
seriously...whenever i go to watch hindi movies with my usual heart-felt expectations, im really let down - time and time again. Very rarely once in a while a movie comes along that i truly admire and enjoy. Three i... remember in recent times was Dil Chahta Hai, Iqbal and Lagaan.
And also, i hate to sound like those India-bashers..cause when i review hollywood i usually like the movies i review more times than not, but when i watch bollywood i get scathingly rude. Perhaps im frustrated by the fact that inspite of so much resources - talentwise as well as monetarily - our creativity still sucks.
So im currently trying to relax the standards i use on Indian movies a bit....cant help it :(
But perhaps i might get mad over the whole deal and kick bollywood all over the place!
