Hi all There is lot more changes in Finance market than anything since this review had written. Still feel that point taken are valid till date, even SEBI did the same way by curteling agents; sad that IRDA is still in the market to keep misselling on... and safeguarding agents. but one more... point............... still MF have NAV declaration in their hand and they are using it to take all butter and give only bread to us. to confirm my words.... please observ that NAV falls down parallal to market crash like market gone down 3.0% NAV also Gone down by 3.0% or more but when market goes UP than NAV doesn’t show the same trend. here is the catch. SEBI should take this charge also from AMCs. regarding good funds in the market......... I feel that HDFC AMC is good one and you can put your money in any of it scheme (Go always ’growth’ option not dividend one). some schemes arfe equity, top 200, prudence, MIP-LTP, liquid. second AMC is reliance but it is quite aggresive in eroding your money also. some prominent schemes are growth, power, MIP, regular savings, Next could be Franklin tempeltn. Now a days it is moderate in earnings but still quite well managed AMC. Magnum is purly aggressive AMC. It is very difficult to assess their returns, sometimes they are outperforming and sometimes uderperforming one can not bet/rely on one scheme for Magnum disclaimer: I have invested in schemes mentioned and observation is based on consisteny and actual return received over 5 years. neither I can nor I did analysis across all schemes so many other AMC/schemes would be more promising. last word : don't go for ELSS for now, wait till dust sattles on ELSS, it is better if one get PPF account for all his family membersRead More

Hi amal I had purchased xeta in Dec 06 (you may like to read my earlier review also) My experiance: Mileage Long drive: 15 A/C on (18 with 40% AC) in navi mumbai: 14.5 (Full A/C) consistant In Mumbai: 12 to 12.5 (Full A/C) Hill Climbing putting car to hill within run-in period is not good. ...Low mileage I feel there is some mistake, plese run the engine at 1600-2000 RPM (tachometer given) don't ride on clutch still finding problem, contact wasan motors deonar, they fixed mine to the highest mileage. Power Don't compare alto, vagon R, 800, Zen you may compare this car with getz, swift for its power if accelaration is concern, don't compare with any car it is least. Vibrations Yes, car have some vibration and engine is not smooth as its japanese counterparts defects observed case based, sorry to say but didn't you included all these points in your checklist while taking delivery. people should know that they are going to buy s'thing so need not go with the luxery treatment, they must verify the piece. Yaar, this we follow when we buy even shoes worth 1000 bucks, why not to do so when spending 3 Lacs. Please redefine your definition for 'Value buyer' Atul Mumbai 09967017181 Read More

Hi nanu to drain the fuel from tank, you may follow this path, open fuel pump, which is situated below the carpet of back legspace. now whole tank is open to you with 8' dia hole, complete your work and fix it back, (total time approx 2-2.30 hours) another way whic I never tried but heard that yo...u can open fuel line from engine side and start the vehicle just once and shut once the fuel sterts flowing, this is easy and less time consuming (peoples using this way to steal fuel) con. Fuel pump is involved, so if fuel is adultereted than fuel pump may contaminate, second you can not clean tank mud by this Read More

I got to know that we MUST not press (even touch) clutch before or durin...g starting, I follow the same advice but this also is not completely solving the problem Please let me know the cause once it is solvedRead More

Hi Iqtidar, Really touch wood for good service from a tata dealer, Anyway as far my knowledge, this car is one of the safest in its segment, (at this pricetag) generally people take the size and consider it with swift, fabia, but one must consider the amount invested then the comperison is wi...th M800, alto, zen, sentro. certainly Palio is better than xeta, you know that all compnies giving car comperison on different point(looks, safety, fuel..... ) and prooving that their (!!) car is the best. I happen to get such comperison where santro had done the same. top most car was definitely santro, but to my surprize next close contendor was xeta. you may not get such techie specs (in this price range) by any other car mfr. my thinking is that when one has given only 3 Lac then he should not expect the same red carpet treatment who spent 6 Lac (Swift, Getz prime, fabia.......). so be happy that we (you, I, and all xeta owners) are having same luxery car in half amount while driving. and should be on their toe to get best possible service at TATA service centre. you can not havev both world so bet for a good car than a good smiling service facilityRead More

Hi 7009035461080 This is for you, HOw you purchased LSi, now a days xeta is the version. might be SA also Xeta would be the name of car. (car with 1405 cc is having some low mileage, but with 1396 cc had some changed bore X stroke ratio and work fine.) you had run this car for 7000. which woul...d be the most important tanure. but please verify again the following 1. Do not speed the car in running in time (i.e. do not go beyond 60 in first 5000 kms (use 1st gear till 10, 2nd gear till 20 and so on) 2. do not go beyond 2000 rpm. 3. Timly servicing 4. Correct tyre pressure. (I prefer 34psi in front and 32 in rear tyres) 5. Dont try to race with other cars initially, after tuning of the car they can not race with this xeta. (This goes to 135 kmph with authority, so not much small car are there to race with in this price and size.) I am getting 14-14.5 with AC and about 16 w/o AC (17000 km till date). so I could write this comment on fuel consumption. 6.Read More

Hi May I inturrept..... I have xeta 12 months old, first problem observed on cold start. but ... but.... I run this car for 15000 KM. three big trips and quite happy with the car. Dear I feel that all person who are putting their *hit on the car.... either they don't have one. or having problem... with the dealer (not the car) or with TATA Finance (not the car) or Dealer fitted CNG (not the car) personaly I feel that people who want a trouble free car should opt for a rolls or a kid's car. definitely japanese, korean and US based models are good in quality but can't be compared in terms of Mileage (14 kmpl 1400CC with AC) Comfort (5 person 85 kg Avg wt.) Sturdy (I derove 125 without a shake) Cost (>300000 for AC & power steering) Still something to say ?? then please go to santro showroom in navi mumbai, they will give you a pamphlet which proves that santro is best in class (but obvious...) but second car of chice is Indica Xeta...... :DRead More

Hi Rishi Can you read my comment on your comments (I had mailed you those comments also) Sorry to say but repeating a single line will not make thatline as fact. if you have cumimted a mistake (buying CNG fitting) you must regret about your action not the product. Please remember next time ...that you must research enough before purchase, and if you have done it that must be aware that ECU of xeta does not allow altrations I repeat 'ECU of xeta does not allow altrations ' Still if you want to say that xeta is bad than again you must spens a half day to read all review to know that happy xeta customers are more than unhappy one (provided they are well aware about what they are purchasing. I also suggest you to plesae read a rewiew 'satisfied till now' which provides a detailed view how to zero-down to a purchase be it pin or plane. Read More

Hi Mohit This is your third Review with different names. If you have something very bad, definitely would like to get shared but please disclose your identity, do not say I am a new comer in the segment. I am having GLS 1.4L and went many times to work shop but not due to car problem, it's my own... denting the car in mumbai's rush traffic. in general, car is trouble free for one year My car is running quite high, around 1300/- km/month. with four-five long tours,) What else you want from a car of 60% price that its competitors?Read More

Hi Dear, sorry for not replying Mine is 1.4L GLS Getting 11-12 (but due to ganpati-traffic I got only 10.5 this time ;-( I feels that 1.2 does not have much upside for mileage, still considering following point westerns mumbai traffic 1.2 GVS weekend driving I feel you must get minimum 9- ...10 kmpl at any point. Some suggestions: Do not accelarate, just release the clutch; car will start running, then accelerate. always fill from one petrol pump Tyre pressure 34 front 32 rear (always check pressure when car stops for 10-12 hours and within 1 km running). Check pressure in every 10 days. this measure will give you 15% extra mileage. happy driving will meet you some day Read More

Hi Rishi, Felt sorry to hear about your experience but here is a unbiased comment, It is your mistake to put your money in hurry. you must visit this site before purchase so could have understood that :- Xeta has bosch ECU which does not accept alteratins. so if you do alteration in fuel injection... than it is a risk that ECU may refuse and engine may start malfunctioning. without making good research you had bought CNG xeta and now you are blaming xeta as a whole. in my experiance: some people purchased xeta without comparing xeta's offering with their needs. such person got heavy shock. My dear, this car offers big car feeling in a small budget, 1400 CC engine gives raw power and 14kmpl (city 1500cc/11kmpl/100 bhp) (esteem 1300cc.13kmpl/85bhp). and this car comes at a price of 'alto' (800cc/17kmpl/46bhp) Rishi, instead of blaming a car as a whole, you should regret your decision for purchasing xeta with CNG option. Before you many people warned that CNG option in xeta is not a good decision. before you start a shouting thred, just a simple point, I am at Navi mumbai you can anytime visit me to check the mileage and power that I am getting from this car. Initial low price does not mean that this car is cheap, it is a petrol car (xeta) and you should purchase it if you are willing to afford petrol. or should go for diesel. off the point : Xeta and Ford Ikon are the car which are very difficult on alternative fuel. Dear you must have purchased GLS version (with power steering, without this driving Indica is a pain due to heavy engine) Seating position is lower. so for clear visibility you can use wooden beeds or nylon wrired seat (lower part of old aged godrej seat) Best mileage you can get is 14 kmpl/AC... 16 kmpl w/o AC Best accelaration is at 3rd and 4th gear (30 to 100 kmph) lower speed is not good. Hi, After reading many disgusting reviews on Xeta, and just comparing with other satisfying reviews; one can easily conclude that, 1. Xeta with CNG is a Bane; almost all persons are struggling with the CNG version. I personally know one sr. manager of Fortune Motors (Indica dealer) who has the p...roblem that his Xeta is working fine with CNG but not in Petrol. 2. No CNG Kit is being fitted from TATA factory, only dealers are getting this retro fitment. 3. ECU of the car is quite sensitive. (I came to know that it is Bosch ECU and do not accept any adulterations 4. Performance of the car on petrol is quite OK and seems to be at par, but on Alternate fuels ………. Not good worse even. 5. Build quality and material of interior is cheap. 6. Last but on priority …… TATA dealers are habitual to treat truck drivers not vehicle owners. So better to not expect hospitality with them. Xeta Car is OK but not on alternate fuel, Would like to have your comments if different…….. Cheers AtulRead More
