Bought Indica Xeta with Power Windows/AC variant in Dec 2006. [GVS-V2 BSIII -Salsa Red]Fitted with Autolock from Tata motors, Front 2 Power Windows, Poineer Music system, JBL Speakers, Left Mirror, Teflon Coated, Under Body Rust Treatment all under 3.37 lac.
Self driven, 6 ft choose for Comfort and Space. This is the second car, earlier had 800STD.
Travelled till date 14500 kms.
Long drives:
1.Hyd to Vijayawada and Back 4 times [300kms one way]
2.Hyd to Tirupathi and Back [600kms one way]
3.Hyd to Cuddaph and Back [430kms one way and driven non-stop with AC on for 7 hours at a driving speed 80-90kms, 15+ kmpl]
Daily usage:
Home to office and back [40kms daily] with 30 % AC on gives continous mileage 14kmpl+
All Long drives done with 4 adults and Self-driven.
Driving Speed: 80kms to 100kms.
Mileage : In excess of 15kmpl with 90% A/C on.
Driving Conditions: In Night and in heavy downpours and potholed highways.
Comfort: Spacious for 3 adults at the back and best in its class when compared to 800/Alto/Santro/Wagon R.
All the journeys so far, fatigue is not felt and reliable with a good milege.
Vehicle is properly maintained and regularly serviced.
First Service at SR.Nagar, Hyderabad had to wait a long.Once the attendant/service engineer attended he carefully took all the detials and did service at the right time. No uniform or proper follow-up and had to search for the corresponding attendant.
When took for second servicing after 11000kms, the showroom itself identified there is a minor slag in the power steering rack and replaced the entire kit worth Rs17000/- for free. The observation made by me is there is a heaviness in the steering and since it is under warranty they give this solution. Good to note this service aspect.
Car is subjected to 430 kms of long drive, non stop between Cuddaph and Hyderabad. Single driver and no stoppage of engine or halting.Covered in 7 hours.Drove at a speed of 80-90kms with AC on. Gave a mileage of 15+. Car surely survived log drives. Absolute no fatigue to the driver.
Clocked 14000kms and no issues. Also saw a great improvement in the servicing aspect with even the engineers visting home for the regular check of the vehicle.
At the same time, my friend who too is a software engineer bought the same variant in Feb 2007.
Clocked milege 10000kms. Didnot bother to even take it to first service till date.
First time driver and hit a speed of 130kmpl between VJA and Tirupathi Highway.
Last long drive he drove from:
Hyd->VJA->Tirupathi->Bangalore->Mysore->Puttaparthi->Hampi->Hyderabad with a driver and 4 adults. Roads in Karnataka were pathetic and he says it is TATA hence the car survived even this long even without first service.
All thru the mileage clocked more than 15kmpl with AC on.This car is selected and bought for space, comfort and pricing. Same features if I had tried other cars should have costed in excess of 4.10 lac.
So our experiences with this car is pretty happy with space and comfort has the top priority in less than3.10lac price tag.
