Virtual world met the real one.......Today!

My dear MS friends,

Today I am feeling very happy. There are two reasons. First, after suffering so much from last one week,my fever finally reduced today. I have a mild fever now, which I really don't care. The second reason is the main one, today finally I managed to meet Msians from Bangalore and also my beloved bro,Mr. Sajith (@hermit) . I never believed in personal contacts with people from virtual world,so when the meet was planned I was quite apprehensive. But today, after meting these wonderful people my fear and all hesitations vanished for ever.

Sajith was going from Trivandrum to Pune, and Bangalore came en route. He informed us, Mazhar Bhai, Umesh Bhai, Sridhar Anna, and me. Dinesh,Meghana and Deepak sir couldn't manage as it was far away from their workplaces, moreover Dinesh had some work in his house. We exchanged messages to meet today at Esteeem Mall, near Hebbal which will be near to the airport,to be convenient for Sajith. I was quite thrilled about this meeting as I was going to meet some people whom I have known for a long time through their posts only. How it will be? What happens if they don't recognize me or I get a cold shoulder? Let's see what happens, but I should meet them first....I decided. I asked my hubby to accompany me as this place is some 50km away from my house. After much grumbling,he also agreed (never seen a couch-potato like him in my life!)

Today,I got up early. After a brief breakfast,I prepared some Sooji Kheer for all,Rajeev_Vermacially for our guest Sajith. I know he loves sweets. Planned to prepare Malpua but health didn't permit that much......so finally Kheer was prepared and stored in a container. We started from our home at 8am. Once we reached the main road, our heart sank seeing the traffic. With great difficulty and spending "pakka" 2 and half an hours finally we reached the destination. We met them in front of McDonald's. I was shocked to see Sajith, who was just twice to my height! I avoided to stand next to him by all means, but somebody managed to take a shot of Gulliver and Lilliput together! Oh,how embarrassing! Azam bhai also came to meet us,but due to some urgent work he had to leave early. Finally we settled down at the food court, arranging tabled and chairs to accommodate all of us. Then the typical "MS Adda" started. Well,MS was the center point of all discussions, but it touched each and every subject relevant to today's date. Right from blogging to MS meet, from tips for writing reviews to Psychological aspects.....from Newcomer members to Veteran members........from supporters to abusers,we touched almost all the possible aspects of MS. In one thing we all agreed, we have to identify our potentials and have to nourish our talents to produce some better outcome. We also have to stay away from people who claim to be supporting members but start backbiting once they get the chance. Finally it was lunchtime,we ordered food from the cafeteria and shared. Sajith appreciated the kheer as well as others, but I felt bad that Umesh bhai and Sridhar anna couldn't have much as it contained sugar. Mazhar bhai, anna and me were in action...we took many photos during the whole session. Mazhar bhai shared some great tips about trekking around Bangalore,we decided to try some when we are free for 2-3 days. After we ordered coffee,Mazhar bhai had to leave for Namaaz. We discussed few things over coffee, then it was time to leave finally. With a heavy heart,we parted...with a hope that we will meet again very soon.

What did I learn from these people? Many things. All these people were well-established and knowledgeable. But not a single one among them showed any amount of snobbery. This is a great thing when one plans to achieve something in life. They were open-minded,courteous and humble. They accepted us as we were. Nowhere the social position or something like that came in between us. After this meeting,I didn't feel bored, but was charged with enthusiasm. I felt that I also can do something good like these people. Finally,I was happy. It's tough to get so many like-minded people at one place, isn't it?Thanks to MS,otherwise where I could find them? My friends, thanks a lot for making this day memorable. And my other friends in MS,if life permits,I will meet you in future.
