Hi sathyanarayana.. i believe the tapping noise is due to the expansion of metals, particularly the heat shield fitted with the silencer. Guess, its not an issue in a few more months.

What you really need to know about SX4.

SX4 is a good sedan and great value for money. considering maruti's superb after sales service, the maintenance and running cost is also less. spare parts are cheaper and no need to worry. If you are looking for a comfortable luxurious sedan within 10 lakhs, maruti SX4 is the best car

the car has done 4000 on odo and bought on 8/8/2009. Recently i came to know that Tata has offered around 15000 rupees reduction... do check it out with the dealers.
