Lets hope recent reforms will decrease the way ULIPs are sold. However I believe more than policy changes what we need is investor education. My first investment was an ULIP (ICICI Pru LifeTime). It was my first and last ULIP. Its been 5 years since I have started it. I am still continuing it as wit...h ULIPs the only way you will earn something is after the first 5 years as by then the mortality charges are reduced significantly. So i suggest you stay invested (if you can) and yes keep investing, otherwise the mortality charges will be deducted from the remaining balance. Remember, nothing is 'free'!Read More
