Hi there. That is one great review. I have not driven this bike yet although I use two wheelers occasionally. Would love to ride it and experience myself.

I wish you all the best to make good money so that you can get your dream machine earliest. I am a Linea owner and I enjoy driving it. I suggest you drive other cars as well (like Vento, Etios, Manza, Fiesta. Punto, Figo) so that you can compare. I purposely miss out City since I consider it over hy...ped and over priced. As regards Tata servicing, I found them good. You can read my thread on this forum for my ownership review. RegardsRead More

I own a Fiat Linea and have driven upto 170 kmph and no issues, regarding AC, I also had a similar problem but after changing the air filter inside the glove compartment, the Ac is very effective. You may consider this (cost of new filter element at Concorde was Rs 45.)!!

Hi, Good to hear you had taken Linea for a long drive. I too take the GST road to Trichy often. The car handles smooth like silkand you can touch even 170 and no problem. The tyres are definitely a plus point. Wide and rated for 190 kmph. City can cling in City limits. You can not see many of them o...n highways. All the best, wish you a happy new year and happy driving. with T Jet.Read More

I can understand how you feel. I agree at BHP, the philosophy is a bit regimental. Do what I say and dont do what I do- type. Regarding selective filtering, I have no idea. Since you experienced it, you should be right.

I had many Videocon products in the past and their products and after sales service used to be very good as I had seen them in Delhi, Mumbai and then in Chennai. Those days it used to be Onida, Videocon , BPL and Phillips used to dominate the market. Now, with so many brands crowding the market, pro...bably their service also has taken a cost cutting toll (by out sourcing).Read More

What I have seen while I was in defence service was , it is better to hire a full truck of suitable size, stuff it at your premises and send a reliable person (say, a servant , on payment) along with the truck till the destination. This works better and cheaper than relying on packers and movers, wh...o, when it comes to individual clients, use cheaper man power, cheaper packing material and skills and third party transports. They are more worried about corporate and regular clients and give them better service.Read More

1. Looks like you are already a member of T-BHP, so too am I. 2. Quote''There is a strict no-no of using SMS lingo, Slangs, Hinglish, Abuse, wrong/no punctuations, Swear words (good on that) and more than 2 smiley’s (sic!). This is so that the forum remains clean and readable by all. It’s ok but I ...have seen instances on new members being banned and infracted for using 3 smiley’s, no full stops, many caps ,etc!!! However older favored members sometimes escape in spite of others pointing at them.'' Unquote. - If Team BHP wants to maintain some decorum and rules on what is posted, I do not think they are incorrect. 3. Some of the sms language used in Mouthshut is so unreadable making a mockery of written English. By the way, I like both forums. 4. I had seen T-BHP (about few years back) take vehemently and unrelentingly on the unethical practices of Dealers/ Car companies. You may follow their Skoda threads (before Skoda became part of VW). 5. Yes, I agree with you, T-BHP or any other forum need not be trusted blindly and one has to read the information and take their call. RegardsRead More

@vijays777 Between Ambattur and ECR, Ambattur Concorde is better. I do not have any interaction with Tafe Reach or VST. Amabattur has good set of mechanics. By the way, are you keeping the AC on full auto. With climat control on full auto, and air intake open, to atmosphere, optimal humidity is main...tained and dryness of eyes is avoided. In case of difficulty with customer care please e mail ranganathan.g@tatamotors.com which is the e mail id of Mr R Gopalkrishnan, a senior person in Tata Motors, Chennai who looks into complaints promptly. regardsRead More

@vijkingofjava7 Hi Vijay, This is not normal 1.Tell service guys to check the throw of AC vents ie. blower is giving full flow of air or not. 2. If not, tell them to change the air filter in the glove compartment with new type filter. 3. Before this please check by keeping climat control to low, les...s than 16 degrees and vent to fresh air. You should get full blast of air in all outlets. If not, filter is the culprit. The new type filter for Linea costs just 45 rupees and they should change it gratis on a new car.Read More

Dear Venu, I own a Linea MJD for more than a year and had done more than 18500 km. You may access my review at http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Fiat-Linea-utqsouquum titled 16000 km done on Fiat Linea . It is an excellent car and you will not regret buying it. You may please be guided by other owner....s review. Regarding discount from dealer, please ensure that you are getting the latest issue from factory, with latest month and year of making and not a old car which was parked in the dealer.s yard for months.. In Nov and Dec , even till Feb, dealers are known to push old stock. Please beware.Read More

Dear DM, I own a Fiat Linea Emo pack and on highways I do not have any problem over taking Verna's. A fried of mine who owns a Verna took a long drive with me and he was impressed by the car. With variable geometry turbo and multijet injection, the pick up, is as good as any petrol. There is no need... to look in isolation only at cubic capacity. For eg. Tata changed over from their own engine, 1400cc to Fiat engine in Vista, Manza, etc. Fiat multijet is the best engine in its class and is powering many other cars because of this. I think over all Linea offers features which are available in higher end cars. The car is sturdy and is very stable even at 170 kph (yes, i tried many times). By the way, emo pack cost cost less than 10 L where as lower end models cost lesser.Read More

@mayankmalik Dear Mayank, In my view, amongst Linea, SX4 and City, Linea is the best when we factor in all aspects. But if your only consideration is resale value then in this present day illogical market, City is having good resale value. Resale value was never in my mind-Linea is a car under 1...0 lakhs, with good features, value for money, diesel mileage, most of all, it is a pleasure driving Linea, especially long distances. Mind you, whenever I was driving long distances in TN, hardly I come across any City on the high ways-because, taking City long distance, that also driving high speeds with AC on will bleed the wallet. Those kind of people rather have Skoda or Jetta or Camry or higher. So most Citys are confined to the city limits only, at least in Tamil Nadu. So, first thought or second thought, you have to decide whether you are a status quoist or welcome changes in life. In my view, City is a over priced car for what it offers.Read More

By the way, Where is Mr yz12 ? In all Linea threads, we could see him liberal in Honda worshipping and mud slinging on Fiat. But when coming to complementing Fiat Linea T Jet, he just finished with a grudging one liner. This is what I called earlier as left handed complements. Also, what happened to... his speculations about low mileage of Fiat (in which he was proved wrong)? What happened to his immense technical knowledge in speculating that turbo will not give mileage??Read More

Wish you all the best to land with a good job...and this good car! By the way, in the other owner's review it was stated that this car is giving a high way mileage of 17.4 kmpl and in another case a whopping 20 kmpl , way above the cars of this size. Driving style matters a lot. The city driving ave...rage (Mumbai AC on) was stated in the review as 12 plus kmpl. Which are very good indeed.Read More

T Jet has a ground clearance of 170 mm as against 160 mm of MJD and regular linea. So it is better than City and the old model Lineas. I just read a review of T Jet on this web site, where the owner had done 1650 km (from Navi Mumbai to Kochi). Worth reading.

Hi It would have been very difficult during those trying years withstanding constant harassment of corrupt colleagues and superiors. End of the day, it definitely made you keep your head high in pride. Congrats.
