Pros:
We earlier had Videocon Washing Machine for 9 years, even though there were few problems over the course of 9 years, the spares were available, the service was satisfactory, I would say the machine had done its task for 9 long years. this was one of the main reason choosing Videocon as Washing Machine Brand. m really frustrated by their service now, please read the below problem I have been facing.
Cons:
We had purchased this Videocon Washing Machine in January 16th, 2010, Chennai.
Name of Praveen Charles.
Our Washing machine stopped working on the 28th of November, 2010.We had launched the complaint to the following number 18004194040 on the 29th of November.

We had the service Engineer come and inspect the fault, Shankar (+919710938014)
He said the Dryer drum is not working, this spare is not available, please check with the local office for the spares availability since the spare has to come from Aurangabad.
I had been frantically following up with the call center and there is no proper response, they have are very clear on the complaint details, always have the same answer "Madam, we are forwarding this to the local service center the technical person will call you" and they kind of end the call.
No one would call you, responding to the complaint, this was a trick to basically hang up on the call, I had to call the toll free number and probed them with various questions and got the following folks contacts as a next step to follow up.

He takes the complaint details and says there is no spares available at this point it will take 15 days to come, we have placed the order, they dont have any control or visibility on the exact dates of the spares coming as he is only the authorized service partner, and give me the following contact saying he is the direct employee of videcon and he will be able to give a clearer picture

On 11th Dec I had called him explaining the problem and I had asked him to give an solution, he said the spares are on the way, I had also requested him to atleast provide a standby washing machine as it has been more than 12days since the machine has stopped working and it has been realy frustating without having a washing machine, he had promised to get back on by the same day.
Mr.Dinesh never reverted on this, I had called him on the same days asking for an update.
Dinesh said he had check on the standby, the machine was ready but it has been stcuk in another consumners house and hence they are not able to get it, he will surely have it shipped by monday (13th Dec).
Till today no one has come or responded to the complaint I had given or even on the standby I have requested for, today 19th Dec, I has again called the Call center they have the same stereo type response "Sir/Madam, we are forwarding this to the local service center the technical person will call you"
As a consumer this is really frustrating, having bought a new Washing Machine, and once teh machine breaks down, we are in teh mercy of the Manufracturer and teh service centers.
