Here is my first review of the bike after 4 weeks and 905 kms! :D :D

Rode to Pondicherry a few days back. Every second of the ride was exhilarating and fun! No doubt in that. The bike responded well to all sorts of situations.

Engine: The engine hasn’t been run in completely yet so I still haven’t made use of the entire potential of the engine. But one thing is sure, this machine literally roars and accelerates beyond 4500rpm and after 5000rpm you realize this is a one of a kind bike in the market. No wonder people are crazy about it.

Since I was riding on the ECR I could top only 80kmph and revved it till 6000 rpm while overtaking in tight situations. Initially when I took it to 6000rpm I could feel vibrations on my foot pegs and rear brake lever. But these vibes subsided gradually and now it is smooth at 6k.  Other than this there aren’t any vibration issues yet.

Gearshift: The gear shift is smooth. At times I wonder if the gearbox is filled with butter! :P

Jokes apart, this bike has a really good gearbox. So far I havent had problems like false engagement etc.

Handling: Handles like a dream. The best handling bikes in the 150cc segment I must say. You never feel insecure at any point. And this bike can be thrown at corners. :D Before the r15 I had a p150-DTSI (first generation), and I can feel the difference especially in corners in terms of handling. I can’t wait to try the r15 on ghat roads! :D   ;) . One can lean on corners without any fear.

But the riding posture is something one needs to get used to. People complain about pain in the back and wrists, which is true but this purely depends on the individual. In my case I havent had back aches till date, initially I had pain in the wrists but now even that has vanished.

Braking: This is my first time with discs on both wheels. The braking is pretty responsive.  The bike has sufficient play in both brake levers, which means you will not get instant braking the moment you touch the levers. The brakes purely depend upon the pressure being applied on the levers.

Economy: Im getting 43.22kms to a liter! :D . The first question people ask me when they see my bike is is about the mileage, these mileage figures are a real shocker! :D One will definitely get good mileage provided you stick to the RUN IN instructions.

I have no regrets so far going in for this bike. I in fact booked the bike without even taking a test ride! :D

To those who are thinking of going in for the r15, just go for it! You will experience the meaning of handling, acceleration etc.

Will update more later. : ) : )
