'They dreamt of a country where every child is born with a blank notebook on which the world writes only his name. They dreamt of a country where each man and woman dies by placing a full stop to the story they wrote in that notebook solely by themselves.' Hey! beautifully thought-out quote. It r...eally touched me : ) I liked your substance... an arguementive essay on the dark India. Like they say....the glass is half empty or half full, depending on how you perceive it. The most important thing is to realise, that when something has deeply impacted you, channel your negative energy for the betterment of humankind. Make your despair a constructive hand to society rather than wallow in its pity. Such as legendary Gandhi Hope to read more porvoking articles by you. Regards DarshniRead More

I've tried to suppress the memories and the moments of sadness that I have felt whenever I've read/viewed anything on female oppression and Muslim fanaticism....but this raw movie...compelled me to absorb her sorrow as if it was my own. I literally cried throughout the whole film. Every time she wep...t, I silently wept in my living room. This movie has done more than any western depiction has inspired me to do. It's inspired me to look at Afghanistan in an impartial manner, to see Islam in a different context, to feel the pain of women I can't relate to...as if it could happen to me. I'm always going to be haunted by this movie and I always hope I remember the pain I felt when I viewed it, because it will make me grateful and make me want to be 'constructive' as a citizen of a democratic nation. Surprise surprise! An Indian review website which the majority of writers are Indian, choose to focus on the negativities of our neighbor. As a professional review, I think it is our duty as the writer to have a non- bias opinion on the product. It’s funny; because I used to always be curious a...bout Pakistan…what would the people be like? What are their tourist attractions? And whilst traveling in India, I met a lovely German couple who had ridden their bikes all the way from Germany!! They had done the unthinkable adventurous route! They had also ridden through Pakistan and spoke of its splendor and hospitality. They told my brother and I that it wasn’t how the media portrayed it to be, it was the raw beauty yet to be discovered. They ardently spoke of the country’s beauty. I’m really keen to visit the historical sites that were once called “ours” together. I would love to visit Pakistan! I’m open minded and know it can’t be all about Islamic extremism! Perhaps we should all visit the country before writing reviews on it? Read More

Hey devv! You're right...it is thought provoking, before reading this reveiw I wouldn't of even thought such a theory exists. When you touch upon space, I think most hindu scriptures though speak of 'cosmic powers' and the universe being much larger than what we percieve it to be...so perhaps i...t could well and true that such gods did come from space. Would love to read it sometime because one of my main muses is religion, and this seems to be quite a contraversial topic...I seem to doubt the author's intentions for the theory, but who knows? Never judge a book by its cover...Read More

I like the perspective of a middle aged man on women...interesting things said! I could also add a thousand more reasons why we suffer more pain...but then I guess that's why we're more superior! emotionally...we are more intellectual than you lot are! Because i guess pain means gain :) Though to... be fair....the both genders' have their setbacks and benfits. DarshniRead More

After reading your review...i'm having a hard time forgetting the amount of FUN and enthusiasm I had of watching and screaming till my breath was shortened! How I miss thee... dam it! why can't they have the world cup every two years...maybe then i can afford to see it in my finer (younger) years ;...) Love the liveliness feeling i get after reading ur review...u seem like an 'alive' person...has oomph in the story...rather than a bunch of blase' facts! By the way...I LOVED how he finished his retirement...some see it as an ashamed step down..i see it as a cheeky victory...I laughed myself to the floor The italians played VERY dirty...don't get me started on the socceroos incident (sniff sniff) DarshniRead More

hey.. Your review was great...professional, I haven't read many reviews on Mouthshut, though I liked your enthusiasm and simplistic language used to reivew this book! some people lack the talent of 'getting it right' in regards to reviews...but you did it perfectly! I'm one of those book freaks ...too...I incessantly read a book I'm madly in love with...then for a year or so...it lies on my bookshelf untill it yearns to be picked up (depending on my mood)...one of those books for me is: Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta.
