Extremely well done without getting too pedantic. Cheers ps- Darn thing says 10 words minimum for the comment. This should suffice.

Great write up. If the Doors of eternity were unlocked, everything would appear as it is - Infinitely. It is my understanding the the band was inspired by this line. (Penned by Aldous Huxley). Once again, beautiful review.

Hi there That was a nice review. Short and sweet. To be honest, I did not enjoy the movie as much as I enjoyed reading your review. Hoping to hear more from you. --T

Nice review Keerti. I like this book. Enlish language got a lot of new words from this novel. Big brother, doublespeak and a lot many more, T

Don't you think so many parallels can be drawn between Swades and Gandhi? Both were successful abroad, both returned home, both incorporated the 'travel' element -spent time on the rural sight, sounds, smells. Both mention the down trodden, social ills, ecnomic empowerment of the poor....and I ...bet Swades is gonna be shown annually on DD. Alright, its been half a century since the whitey abdicated the Raj throne ...but the story is same for most of those in the villages. Swades was, indeed a good movie. But nobody has to come back or go any where. We all can make a difference from where-ever we are. trivia - I believe it was Sandeep Pandey a la 'SRK', winner of Ramon Magasasay award who pitched in for a village somewhere in UP. The good 'fella started 'Asha', an organisation which does these kinda deeds, with 2 other NRI friends while doing research in UC, Berekly. cheers psss...one thing - did they actually show some satellite being launched, or was it some library video of a space shuttle taking off...Read More

(...hope I sound as sincere as the guy above me) Alright, here I go. A recent incident involving my sensitive palate and raw fish eggs going pop..pop.. while in the process of ingesting sushi left me slightly wary of these litta slit eyes. BTW If you like experimenting check out Thai Ban too.... It's equally good. Read More

That was really a nice review. Personally speaking, I strictly maintain a double arm distance from anything that has 'Arindumb Chowdhary' spelt on it. Be it his - dare to think beyond IIMs - (catch lines for his ) MBA institute or his double indent, lotsa-white-spaces dumb as* management ...books - count your chickens.. . Seriosly speaking this guy caters to the lowest common denominator and its a shame that media refers to him as a 'Management Guru'.Read More

what did one monk say to another - sect sect sect, is that all you think whole day! (now repeat loudly..) ...hold on this is relevant... Regarding the review what intrigues me is how a monk can own a ferrari in the first place, before he can actually think of selling it....did the author explain... this? [..I thought monks were jazzy folks who travel only in lear jets with attached jacuzzis] And guys, for chrissake cut the drivel. bah. Read More

liked it. have read and even seen the hollywood's version on this and i guess you did justice to it in your review. Have you read grisham's Street Lawyer? do check it out and am sure u'll like it though it borders slightly on the left-liberal kind of political views. cheers

I find it hilarious the way some of my punjabi breathren abroad pronouce it as 'makk-doe-nulds.' Atkins diet almost single handedly destroyed this fast food chain. But i think in india the concept of treating kids a mac is considered something grand. even now one can hear ppl drop its name in a ...conversation as if going and eating there is considered something of a high end affiar. sickens me.Read More

psychologically speaking i would think (and i may be wrong) that u are down with oedipus complex. dude - a mom is a mom is a mom. dont give 2 hoots for all the veneer. (holywood calls it unconditional luv) just cuz we gotta pen something on as damning as a %^&%& lard of cream thing..., doesnt mean we go into an over drive. In the best interest of Marilyn monroe - first get acquainted with why was she (in) famous.Read More
